THE STELLAR STAKING FEATURE IS NOW ACTIVE. YIELDS UP TO 25% APY

In reaction to the Community Improvement Proposal voted back in May, 2022, the
inflation dividend mechanism has been terminated and replaced in the latest
network upgrade, which occurred on November 29th. With this upgrade, the Stellar
Staking Feature has been activated and is currently the only reward mechanism
for the network.


The Stellar Reserve account holding 26 billion XLM has been redistributed to
serve as the interest payout pool for the newly implemented staking feature.

LET'S BEGIN

Well, starting on November 29th, the new feature is available for all Stellar
network users. Using a deflationary algorithm, the payout system rewards
decrease in time, so that the initial 25% APY rate is set to decline
proportionally to the numbers of stakers and their staked XLM balances.

The more users start staking, the lower the reward percentages gets.

A great implementation which brought much applause from the Stellar community is
the daily payout program, ensuring that all staked profits are distributed at
the 24-hour threshold.


HOW TO STAKE YOUR XLM

Access the Stellar Account Viewer tool. Sign into your account. Click the
Stellar Staking feature button. Select a Special Validator from the dropdown
list. Sign the authorisation transaction. No fees are charged.
