THE TEAM

GUI SILVA, CFA

Gui is an investor and banker with 20-year experience in corporate finance,
capital markets, and technology acquired in leading investment banks and
fintechs, working in Europe, Asia and Latin America. He was Global Head of
Capital Markets at Diginex and Head of Blockchain Research Group at the
University of Oxford’s CTGA. Previously, Gui was Head of Global Markets and
Treasurer for HSBC in Spain and Thailand.

MARCELLO CAVALCANTI

Marcello has 20+ years of Global Markets experience. He worked as Global Head of
FX Bank Sales at Barclays Capital based in London for 12 years. Previously he
worked 6 years for Merrill Lynch as a derivatives trader. He was also the CIO of
a systematic hedge fund, trading both fiat and crypto derivatives. Marcello is
an engineer with an MBA from INSEAD and expert in foreign exchange and
derivatives trading.

ALEJANDRO LÓPEZ

Alejandro is an experienced software engineer with expertise in cybersecurity
and information technology. Highly skilled in blockchain technology programming,
smart contracts, and computer models for Forex and Commodities trading.
Alejandro was Head of Innovation, Capital Markets at Diginex until March 2021
and prior to that was managing the FX Sales Desk for HSBC in Madrid.

18-years of asset management and investment banking experience across Asia & US.
While in Hong Kong, Head of Business Development at EQUOS and at EIP, a CITIC
CLSA asset manager. Previously, BlackRock in NY and Aristotle Capital in Los
Angeles. B.A. degree from University of California, Santa Barbara.

Ilan has over 15 years’ experience in financial markets. He worked for the
Federal Reserve Bank of New York and for the International Monetary Fund as well
as for Brown Brothers Harriman as a Global Macro Strategist. Ilan holds a BA in
economics and psychology from the University of Arizona and a MA in
international relations from John Hopkins (SAIS).
