HEARTS A FLUTTER

Teasing you a bit today with a few new items from the new Spring Catalog coming
out in January along with Sale-a-bration.  I made a few of these cards for the
girls to send out to family and friends for christmas thank you's.  The striped
pennant is from a new stamp set called Hearts a Flutter and the thanks so much
is from the new stamp set Oh, Hello.  Just a little taste for you!
I used white embossing powder to emboss the images and then to give it that
chalkboard look I used whisper white ink and a dauber to smudge up the black
cardstock.

New items just added to the clearance rack!

GLASS CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS

Had so much fun making these beautiful glass Christmas ornaments with a friend
of mine Laura Larsen.  She was so excited to come over to teach me a craft she
said! I had such a great time,  they were so easy and fun and well look at
them!

AMAZING!  Here is how they are made,  you purchase those plain glass ornaments,
then some alcohol based re-inkers.  We used this little brush hand stamper that
had felt on the end of it.  You put three different drops of the ink on the felt
stamper and start stamping on the outside of the glass ornament.  It dries quite
quickly.  Then you take Pearl-X  powder and put on the inside of the ball to
coat it and give it a matte look.
 They are just so pretty!
Thank you Laura!  Such a fun craft and day!

Here are the brushes we used,  you can find them on amazon or your local craft
store` They are by Tim Holt'z

DAY OF REMEMBRANCE

The events of last friday in Connecticut (and around the world) have been on
all our minds all weekend. We all have been affected by this tragedy in some way
and therefore many in the blogging community have chosen to take today to
reflect, pray and spend quiet time reaching out to neighbors and friends as a
part of National Blogging Day of Remembrance.  I have chosen to do so as well.
My heart and prayers go out to the families and the community.

VINTAGE SNOWMAN CANDLES

Sharing a little craft that we are doing this weekend with 15 little girls for
fun.  These are the small glass votives that you can  purchase at any craft
store. I went online and found vintage snowman images printed them out on
computer paper, then Modge Podge them to the votive.  There is a felt snowflake
as the base ( you could also use a heavy weight white paper punched out with our
Stampin Up! snowflake die)  I added the Rhinestone jewels and bells to the
points of the snowflake and also added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the images
before they dried.
They are so sweet and  make a nice gift for the kid's to give someone special or
you!

HOT COCOA FOR FOUR PLEASE?

I always save empty cans and containers.  Here are regular soup cans and
frosting containers.  I decided to make Hot Cocoa for four out of them.    Take
your Be of Good Cheer Paper and wrap the can or container with it using the
tombow adhesive so that it stays well.   Fill your cello bags with enough cocoa
and marshmellows for four and tie off with a nice ribbon.  I found these
adorable vintage straws at, yep, you guessed it,  TJ Maxx   (if you don't  have
one of these stores look online)  as well as the cute pom pom trim.

Stampin Up Products used:

Paper-  Be of Good Cheer Designer series - #126896  - for $10.95   Real Red
cartstock and Gumball Green cardstock
Accessories-  XL Large Oval Punch # 119859  for $16.95,  Scallop Oval Punch #
119856 for $16.95
Decorative Label Punch # 120907 for $16.95

You can order any of the items at the top of this blog

Here they are all complete ready to drink!

JOYOUS CANDIES

Joyous Celebration Stamp Set

I gussied up this little clear box with the reindeer from the new Joyous
Celebration set.  The boxes are filled with Milk Chocolate salted caramels.  You
can find the boxes online HERE .  I cut the Candlelight Christmas Designer Paper
2 1/2 x 6 and then punched with the Large oval punch out of the center so you
can see those yummy candies.   Stamp and then hand cut out the reindeer and add
the red pom pom nose.  Would even be cute with a red rhinestone nose!  I just
used what I had on hand.

Products used:

Candlelight Christmas Designer Paper - # 126901 $12.95 for 12 sheets of double
sided paper
Stamp Set - Joyous Celebration stamp set - Wood Mounted - #128006 - $ 22.95 or
Clear Mounted # 128069 for $15.95
Accessories:  Large Oval Punch - #119859 - $ 16.95
