SPRING MATCHING-GIVING DAY, MAY 25, 2023

The Grand Canyon Council is an independent nonprofit organization chartered by
the Boy Scouts of America to deliver youth programs throughout most of central
and northern Arizona. In Scouting, youth develop new skills, try new hobbies,
make friends, learn teamwork, experience the outdoors, and serve our community —
all while having fun and discovering more about the world. 

We are excited to announce our upcoming Spring Giving Day, where Dave Alexander,
a passionately generous donor, and an Eagle Scout, will match every gift made on
May 25 —doubling the impact of your donation! Once we achieve the milestone of
500 donations, an additional $100,000 will be donated! By contributing to this
cause, you can help us provide the impactful programs that Scouting delivers.





AN INVESTMENT IN SCOUTING HELPS TO FUND:

 * Local programs and activities throughout the Council territory
 * Camps and facilities for year-round camping and Cub Scout family outdoor
   events
 * Opportunities to attend summer camp and high-adventure events
 * Advancement programs that recognize Scouts meeting the goals they set
 * Development and distribution literature and training materials

 * Camp scholarships, uniforms and fees for youth who could otherwise not
   participate
 * Accident and liability insurance to protect youth and adult members
 * The Scout Service Center, which coordinates Scouting activities and provides
   customer service
 * Professional staff who counsel, guide and inspire volunteer leadership
 * Leadership training for youth who will become future community leaders
