MISSION ABOUT ABOUT US MAREN LAVELLE is a Brooklyn based director, writer, and producer hailing from the Northeast. A graduate of Pace University's BFA Acting Program, and an original member of the José Rivera Writer's Group, Maren began writing for the stage and, eventually, transitioned to screenwriting. Maren’s plays have premiered in various venues in NYC: Composition of a Woman (Westside Theatre, 440 Layfayette Studios), The Holding Room (The Sheen Center), Under the Brooklyn Bridge (14th St. Salon Series). Maren collaborated with The Representatives, an NYC-based, site-specific theater company, and traveled with their production Private Manning Goes to Washington to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2016. Maren's screenwriting and directing are featured in the short films The Yard (2019) and Beyond Bone (2018). In 2020, Maren co-wrote and directed the award-winning short films Maya and Keeper. In 2021 Maren returned to her alma mater Cab Calloway School of the Arts to direct Wendy, One-Eyed Rabbit's latest film which had its World Premiere at Soho International Film Festival in October of 2022. In November of 2022, Maren was selected as a director for Shoot Online's 2022 New Director's Showcase! Her work was screened at the DGA Theatre for the Shoot 2022 NDS Screening Party. Website: marenlavelle.com MATT STEINER is an actor, writer, and educator originally from Sacramento, California. Off-Broadway/US Tours: Jane Eyre, The Three Musketeers, Macbeth (The Acting Company). Regional: Indian Blood (Studio Arena), Tartuffe (Two River) Television: Homicide City: Charlottesville, Village of the Damned, Pandora's Box, Redrum. Film: Above the Shadows (starring Megan Fox), Bizzy and the AIMEs. Matt also co-wrote, directed, and starred in the short horror comedy The Thing I Never Told You. From 2012-2017, Matt served as the Co-Artistic Director of The Representatives, an NYC-based, site-specific theater company, producing and starring in over 15+ original productions including Veritas (NY Fringe, Cave @ St. George's) and Private Manning Goes to Washington (Edinburgh Fringe, The Studio @ 345). Matt trained as a clown in Europe with master clown teacher Pierre Byland, in NYC with Jane Nichols and Chris Bayes, and holds a BFA from CalArts. Matt is a Lead Teaching Artist at Lincoln Center Education and was a 2018 Hermitage Artist Retreat Fellow. Tramaine Raphael Gray is an award-winning multidisciplinary director and writer, who specializes in: film, theater, and experimental performance art. An ever evolving black queer storyteller that cultivates and ministers thought provoking experiences that explore sexuality, spirituality and self enlightenment in his work. He aims to ignite revolutionary conversation by restoring humanity in how the world specifically views the black, brown and LGBTQIA+ communities. One-Eyed Rabbit's annual BLACK SCREENWRITERS GRANT was established to amplify Black voices, create a bridge between Black writers and more funding opportunities, and to increase representation within the film & television industry.
