Such an amazing place to stay. So many activities to enjoy, such amazing sights

Beautiful Oasis of calm and charm
After a long hot drive and an arrid landscape the lush gardend and the old farm
house are a welcoming relief. Set in beautifully maintained gardens the house is
a welcomingly tastefully decorated establishment that invited the traveller to
relax and enjoy the many aspects of the place. Memorable high tea and
scrumptious dinners are a calling card worth experiencing.

Beautiful quiet retreat
We stayed at this special place for two nights,quiet and peaceful!!! Don't visit
if you are on a diet as the food is just amazing and oh so tempting. Just
gorgeous, and the rooms are first class. We were in the main house,we did all
the game drive which were excellent and worth doing. Can't fault this place, if
you are lucky enough to book a room this place is booked up well in advance.

Amazing!
Bartholomeus Klip was one of the best hotels, if not the best hotel I've ever
stayed at. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was first
class and the atmosphere of the entire place was relaxed and charming. I cant
wait to go back. If you want a relaxing holiday where you can either relax by a
pool, go for a walk/mountain bike through the game reserve or take part in the
game drives then I cant recommend it enough.

Unique luxury farmhouse in nature reserve
From the moment we arrived we felt pampered. Chilled lemonade on arrival,
charming bedroom, wonderful healthy breakfast, home made afternoon tea and a 5
star dinner. Beautiful house, wonderful remote setting, interesting trips by
jeep to view conserved wildlife and walks to lake. Staff extremely helpful and
friendly.

An Absolute Dream
We stayed for three nights at Bartholomeus Klip in November 2013. As it was a
special trip we upgraded to the Orchard Suite which was located in a separate
building yards from the main farmhouse but we had our own private patio
overlooking the reserve. The suite was fabulous with a lounge area and bedroom
with it's own facilities including a big walk-in shower, victorian-style bath
and a toilet room. A normal day was tea/coffee and snack followed by a morning
Nature Drive in the private reserve. Brunch was served on return then the time
was ours own till High Tea then another Nature Drive at 5pm. Dinner was served
at 8pm. All meals were taken in the farmhouse and the quality of food was
delicious. The dining room was quite formal but enjoyable. The resident Nature
Guide was Daniel who, although recently new to the role (having previously
worked in the Dining Room) was keen and quite knowledgeable. He made the drives
interesting. The reserve wildlife includes the endangered Geometric Tortoise and
Quagga (a type of Zebra) and there are disease-free Buffalo. The thing that
struck us was the family atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. We had a
wonderful time and would recommend Bartholomeus Klip
