GURU GOBIND SINGH INDRAPRASTHA UNIVERSITY OVERVIEW
Indraprastha Institution (IP or IPU), previously Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha
University, is a state university in Delhi. On 28 March 1998, the government
established the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University into the Indraprastha
University. The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998, amended in
1999, established it as a state university. University Grants Commission (India)
grants recognition to the university under section 12B of the UGC Act. GGSIPU
was founded as a teaching-cum-affiliating university in 1998 with the goal of
promoting research in new fields of higher education. Engineering, technology,
business management, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, education, and law are among
the over 50 courses offered by the institution. There are more than 120 colleges
associated with it, all of which follow the university’s laws and regulations.
The University provides a number of distance learning courses in addition to its
regular courses. Engineering, technology, medicine, pharmacy, nursing,
education, management studies, law, and other fields are all offered through the
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Directorate of Open and Distance
Education. The Common Entrance Test is used to admit students to these
programmes each year.

Q1. Does GGSIPU provide seat reservations?
Ans. According to the state reservation regulation, GGSIPU offers precedence to
select students for admission. Kashmiri Migrants, Management Quota applicants,
and Persons with Disabilities have seats reserved.
Q2. What paperwork would be required for the GGSIPU admissions process?
Ans. Candidates are encouraged to bring their scorecards and exam results with
them. During the GGSIPU admissions procedure, necessary documents include high
school diploma, graduation results (if passed), admit cards, and ID cards such
as Aadhar cards, voter cards, and driver’s licence.
Q3. What is the admissions procedure for GGSIPU?
Ans. For GGSIPU admission, candidates must take the appropriate entrance exam. A
valid IPU CET score is required for admission to B.Sc. (Nursing), BA, B.Com.,
BCA, and B. Ed programmes.
Q4. What are the GGSIPU’s UG/Diploma course eligibility requirements?
Ans. a minimum of 55 percent in aggregate is required in 10+2 science stream for
admission to GGSIP University UG programme. To be admitted to UG courses,
candidates must additionally take the IPU CET test.
Q5. Is it possible for a candidate to apply for admission to GGSIPU through more
than one entrance exam?
Ans. Yes. For each programme with its own CET Code, a new application must be
completed.
