Labour Day

No changes to garbage or recycling collection on Labour Day - Monday, September
6th.

The Selwyn Township Municipal Office will be CLOSED on Labour Day - Monday,
September 6th and will reopen at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, September 7th.

The Smith Landfill and all branches of the Selwyn Public Library will also be
CLOSED Labour Day - Monday, September 6th.

COVID-19 Update

As of 12:01 a.m. on July 16, 2021, the province moved into ‘Step 3’ of the
‘Roadmap to Reopening’. The Roadmap to Reopening is a three-step plan to safely
and cautiously reopen the province and gradually lift public health measures.
The plan is based on the province-wide vaccination rate and improvements in key
public health and health care indicators.

Under Step 3 of the Roadmap, the rules and public health measures under Order
364/20 must be followed.

The Township of Selwyn Municipal Office is OPEN to the public, with health &
safety restrictions in place. If your business does not require a visit to the
Office, we encourage you to please continue to conduct your business by phone or
email. Staff are available by phone at 705-292-9507, email
at info@selwyntownship.ca. A complete Staff Directory is available on the
Township website. 

The Township of Selwyn continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation through
Peterborough Public Health, who is working closely with local, provincial and
federal partners to manage and respond effectively. For updates on municipal
services and how they are affected, visit the COVID-19 webpage.

The Cloudpermit e-permitting system will allow residents and builders to
complete the entire permit process online! 

Residents or builders wishing to apply for a building permit can do so by
visiting the Building & Planning Department webpage.
