Wednesday, July 17, 2019 THE LIGHTNING BOLT I depart for Oshkosh tomorrow and since my Tailwind is painted Cub Yellow, I was told it should have a Cub "lightning bolt" on it for everyone to see. Nobody wanted to pay for a legitimate decal so this one was hastily fashioned in house from black tape. I don't think I'm gonna keep it. Thursday, July 11, 2019 BALL-JOINT EXHAUST UPDATE Last fall, my new exhaust had an issue whereby one of the pipes cracked and completely separated a few inches from the engine block. Rather than weld it back together, I opted to come up with a new design. All four exhaust pipes were removed a rebuilt with ball joints. As of now, I've put almost... I thought the hangers would provide enough shock absorbency, but I guess not because one of the pipes cracked and completely separated from the stack about three inches from the engine.
