ELIZABETH TELLING




ELIZABETH TELLING



Elizabeth Telling has been playing English horn and oboe in the KSO since 2000
and also holds a similar position with the California Symphony.  She has degrees
in oboe performance from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the San
Francisco Conservatory of Music as well as advanced studies at the Royal
Conservatory in London. During her time studying in London, Telling played with
orchestras and chamber ensembles that performed in Germany and France.  In
addition to her current position with the KSO, Telling has performed with
orchestras in Nashville, Napa Valley, Santa Rosa, Indianapolis, Richmond,
Evansville, Louisville, Toledo,…

highest artistic standards and to reach East Tennessee audiences of all ages by
providing excellence in musical performance and education programs.

The KSO is a leader in this region in so many irreplaceable ways, from our
education programs that reach over 20,000 children each year to our Family,
Masterworks, Pops and Chamber series concerts that entertain and enrich more
than 200,000 people annually.

KSO musicians spend approximately 80% of their time in outreach endeavors on
behalf of the Symphony. The costs involved in sending these professional
musicians into area classrooms and hospitals are covered solely through grants
and contributions. Unfortunately the demand for these programs far exceeds our
ability to fully provide them. With your help, we can continue to carry on our
mission.
