CONNECT + COLLABORATE + CREATE

Working with our partners both within and outside Berkeley Lab, we promote equal
access to scientific and technical careers for students from all backgrounds,
support STEM teachers, and build scientific literacy through innovative
education programs. We also support educational outreach efforts from Berkeley
Lab’s divisions by providing program development assistance, materials, funding,
volunteers, project management, marketing, and administrative support.

Our mission is to inspire and prepare the next generation of scientists,
engineers, technologists, and STEM professionals. We offer a range of programs
for undergraduate, postbaccalaureate, graduate students, and faculty. Through
these programs, people come to the Lab to participate in research internships,
they collaborate and network with Lab STEM professionals, and share their skills
and passion for science in the STEM community.

See the Impact of Our Programs

At Berkeley Lab, there are many people who can help you learn more about
scientific research and envision a future career in STEM. Three teams work
closely together to prepare you for your next steps: K-12, WD&E, and Career
Pathways. Learn more >
