WHAT IS FASTRACK?

Operating across Thameside and Gravesham including key locations such as
Dartford, Temple Hill, Bluewater, Darent Valley Hospital, Ebbsfleet and
Gravesend, Fastrack started operating in 2006, and becomes part of Go-Ahead from
November 2024 and goes electric after April 2025.

The network features many exclusive Fastrack lanes across the network making
sure the buses do not get held up in traffic. This enables the service to
operate reliably and get people where they want to go faster than a conventional
bus service – or even driving!

Due to this infrastructure the network has grown since it started, carrying over
2.5 million people in 2023, serving popular destinations such as Bluewater and
the large employment areas close to the Thames such as Amazon LCY3 site with
regular buses, 24 hours a day.




WHO ARE WE?

Go-Ahead is a global company that successfully operates bus services across the
UK, Singapore and Australia. Running over 2,000 buses in London alongside
award-winning operations across the country we have lots of experience and know
how to deliver high quality services. We are taking on the Fastrack operation
from November to improve and expand the network for the future. Our depot is
located at Newtons Court, Dartford DA2 6QL.


THE FUTURE OF FASTRACK

With considerable amounts of new homes in the area and continuous upgrades to
the network such as improving the Rennie Drive Fastrack junction, this is an
exciting time to join us as we develop the network for the future.

Kent County Council is going to be improving the Fastrack Stops and with us
introducing a fleet of 28 brand new, fully electric Irizar vehicles to the
network in 2025 this is great time to jump onboard and join team Fastrack!

As part of our operation and planned service increases, we are looking for great
people to join our team.

JOINING OUR TEAM


WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We have lots of roles available as we form our new team. If you have had a car
driving license for at least 6 months with no more than 6 points on your license
we are interested in hearing from you. Our training programme for people who
have a car license takes approximately 6 weeks and we are recruiting now!


HAVE A BUS LICENCE?

We are particularly interested in hearing from people who already have a bus
license and experienced with driving large vehicles alongside offering a
fantastic experience for our customers. If this new opportunity appeals to you;
apply now! We can offer immediate starts for license holders.


WE HAVE A VARIETY OF ROLES

We have opportunities for support roles within the organisation that includes
driving mentors, supervisors and relief supervisors. If you are an experienced
bus driver, a fantastic team player and determined to make this new operation a
success we want to hear from you. 

Working for Fastrack requires applicants to pass a satisfactory DBS check from
Kent County Council.


WHAT CAN WE OFFER YOU

A guaranteed 38-hour working week with a common start and finish point to your
duties, our depot has a large amount of parking for our team.

 * Once you pass your probation, our pay rate is £16.50 / hour Mondays to
   Fridays.
 * On Saturdays and Sundays, our pay rate is £17.50 / hour
 * We offer an overtime rate on Mondays to Fridays of £17.50 / hour
 * We offer an overtime rate on weekends of £18.50 / hour
 * Weekly you can expect to earn over £630.
 * Annually you can expect to earn £33,000.
 * Earning potential is increased by doing overtime.
 * This is shift work and as Fastrack is a 24-hour operation this will include
   night shifts.
