ENABLING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT THROUGH ISLAMIC FINANCE

Malaysia has long advocated Islamic finance and Islamic capital market
instruments as equitable and sustainable alternatives to conventional financial
systems. Over the years, our market participants have leveraged their collective
Islamic finance expertise to create Shariah-compliant green and sustainable
finance instruments.

Malaysia’s global leadership in Islamic Finance has enabled product innovation
and accelerated responsible investments to ensure that the financing and
investment community are able to intensify their efforts to become a part of
climate action initiatives.

Malaysia’s financial regulators have endeavoured to create an enabling ecosystem
for green finance transactions, particularly sustainable and responsible
investments. These include the introduction of tax incentives, grants and
capacity building to strengthen and support financial sector intermediaries.

Our financial sector intermediaries have also demonstrated strong commitment to
building a holistic sustainable finance and investing ecosystem, displaying
innovation in structures and breadth of product offerings.

Join us to learn how Malaysia has deployed green and sustainable
Shariah-compliant financial instruments to meet the UN’s Sustainable Development
