SUBMISSIONS OPEN FOR THE 25TH ANNUAL D.I.C.E. AWARDS

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), the video game industry’s
professional trade organization, representing over 30,000 development and
creative members, has opened submissions for the 25th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards
(#DICEAwards), serving to recognize excellence among peers currently working in
games. 
 
This year's D.I.C.E. Awards ceremony will celebrate its 25th anniversary and
close the three-day D.I.C.E. Summit on the evening of Thursday, February 24th at
the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.

#DICE2022 REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

Registration for the 2022 D.I.C.E. Summit (#DICE2022) is now open. The premier
video game networking conference returns in-person to Las Vegas from Tuesday,
February 22nd through Thursday, February 24th at the beautiful Mandalay Bay
Resort.

#GAMEMAKERSNOTEBOOK EP.112

Ted Price chats with brothers Mike and Josh Grier, co-founders of Ember Lab who
developed the recently released Kena: Bridge of Spirits. Together they discuss
Ember Lab's genesis in the advertising and film industries; their
transition into game development; Kena's mechanics and design; Ember Lab's
studio culture; and ways for the games industry to increase diversity. 

Together, Mike and Josh founded Ember Lab, an animation and digital content
studio. Mike is the Chief Creative Officer and Josh the Chief Operation
Officer. Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a story-driven action adventure set in a
charming world rich with exploration and fast-paced combat. In addition to Kena,
Ember Lab is best known for the short films Dust and Majora's Mask - Terrible
Fate.

The AIAS Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Interactive Arts &
Sciences (AIAS), is pleased to award 11 scholarships to outstanding students and
early professionals who are dedicating their careers to the advancement of the
video game industry.
