Our Story



KTI, founded in 1995, is a family-owned and operated asset-based small business
specializing in transportation, warehousing, including SQF-certified food-grade,
and plastics processing services.

KTI began offering warehousing services in 2010 and has grown to operating
multiple locations throughout the southeast:

· Pulaski, VA (Headquarters)

· Bluefield, VA

· Lincolnton, NC

· Greenwood, SC (Smith and Waters)

· Jefferson, SC (Smith and Waters)

In 2020, KTI acquired Smith and Waters, a private fleet in Ware Shoals, SC, as
well as warehouse space in Greenwood, SC. Together, our asset-based fleet is
comprised of 60 trucks and over 100 dry vans, refrigerated trailers, and
flatbeds.

Our goal is to continue to build long-term relationships with our customers by
providing the operational infrastructure, staff, technology, and flexible
solutions to help them grow profitably. Many of our long-term partnerships began
as a temporary need which was met with flexibility and superior support and
service. Our customers are able to focus on their core business while our team
of seasoned logistics professionals develop and implement a process-driven
workflow for your product.



Our Services



We offer flexible storage solutions and support to navigate any market. We
understand the fluid nature of business and the juggling of a complex array of
moving parts which is logistics. We will develop custom solutions for storing
and handling your inventory. We offer shared and contract warehousing space in
multiple locations to provide an ideal location to minimize your operational
expenses. We supply the infrastructure and labor needed to meet your
distribution and the capacity and the flexibility and technology to adapt
quickly to your business needs.

Our asset-based transportation services include local, regional, and OTR. This
allows us to have increased control, continuity, and communication with the
warehouse team.



Technology and Integration



We provide more visibility and peace of mind through our cloud-based Warehouse
Management System which is easily accessed by our customers through our website.
We can integrate seamlessly with our customers' platforms using API or EDI.

Solutions

Warehouse Management System



All customers are granted access to our WMS for transparency and joint problem-
solving. Our WMS can accommodate complex customer workflows, provide auto-
replenish alerts through the min/max inventory level settings, and provide cost
tracking for each item. Other features include:

•Inventory tracking (by lot, item code, pallet ID, etc.)

•Inventory history

•FIFO

•Alerts for discrepancies and mis-picks

•Cycle count reports

•Shipping integration – cloud-based, AI-driven with IntelliRate. High-volume
label printing, dashboard for strategic analysis of shipping and order data.



The use of ASNs, which are imported into our WMS, reduces error, and provides
real- time inventory updates. We’ve helped our customers with transforming their
paper- based, error-prone systems using ASNs and our online WMS.
