BSD CHECKSUM CALCULATOR

To describe a packaged file, use the ' FilePackageType' fields specified in the
next section - Cardinality: 0.* This may be a stand-alone file or a file
contained within a package file.

Use the below ' FileType' fields to describe an individual file. Files: List the
information for all of the files contained in the file package using the '
FileType' fields (described above). This allows the user to re-calculate the
checksum to verify the integrity of the downloaded data. The checksum algorithm
should be selected from a controlled list of algorithm names. Checksum
Algorithm: The name of the algorithm used to calculate the checksum.Checksum
Value: Allows the provider to provide the checksum value for the package
file.Mime Type: The mime type of the resource. It is recommended that the mime
type be selected from the KMS controlled list of mime types. It is required that
the format value be selected from the GCMD Granule Data Format vocabulary list
in order to ensure consistent use of data formats across the CMR. For example,
if the unit was MegaBytes, the size could be calculated by using 1000圎2 Bytes
(MegaBytes) or 1024圎2 Bytes (mebibytes) and therefore there is no systematic way
to know the actual size of a granule by using the granule metadata record. The
issue with the size element is that if CMR data providers use a unit other than
Bytes, end users don't know how the granule size was calculated. Please use this
element in place of or inclusive with the Size element.

 * SizeInBytes: The size in Bytes of the volume of data contained in the
   granule.
 * Name: The file name of the package file.
 * There is a sub-field called "Files" - this refers back to the 'FileType'
element which can be used to list the details of the individual files
   contained within the file package.
 * There is no option to provide the "Format Type" since this information is not
   applicable to a packaged file.
 * These are identical to the 'FileType' fields with two exceptions: Use the '
FilePackageType' fields to describe a packaged file (e.g. The checksum
algorithm should be selected from a controlled list of algorithm names. This
allows the user to re-calculate the checksum to verify the integrity of the
   downloaded data.
 * Checksum Algorithm: The name of the algorithm used to calculate the checksum.
 * Checksum Value: Allows the provider to provide the checksum value for the
   file.
 * Mime Type: The mime type of the resource. It is recommended that the mime
type be selected from the KMS controlled list of mime types.
 * Format Type: Allows the provider to state whether the file is in its native
format or another supported format (must be selected from the following:
   Native, Supported, NA).
 * Size Unit: The file size unit (must be selected from the following: KB, MB,
   GB, TB, PB, NA).
 * Please use the SizeInBytes element either in place of this one or inclusive
   of this one.
 * Size: The size of the volume of data contained in the granule.
 * Therefore, there is no systematic way to know the actual size of a granule by
using the granule metadata record. For example, if the unit was MegaBytes,
the size could be calculated by using 1000圎2 Bytes (MegaBytes) or 1024圎2
Bytes (mebibytes). Use the ' FileType' fields to describe a stand-alone file
(i.e. Providing this information is optional but can be leveraged to document
useful specs about the granule data. Archive And Distribution Information can
be used to describe a file, whether it be a stand-alone file or a packaged
   file.

NIGHT BOOK ABOUT HOLOCAUST

They shut their ears to Moishe the Beadle’s experiences, turned a blind eye to
the events foreshadowed by the restrictions on the Jews of Sighet and ruled out
escaping to Palestine and other places because it was too inconvenient. As
ignorance prevailed in Sighet with regard to the war around them, the
townspeople believed themselves to be safe. The first few pages of Night reveal
a lesson. With him gone, my generation and the ones that come after it must find
ways to continue this pursuit-at home, in Israel and in seemingly unlikely
places, like a JCC in Krakow. He went on to advocate against human evil, to
speak out against genocide and injustice, to constantly strive for a better
tomorrow.

While Night ends with total destruction, Elie Wiesel’s life did not. Through the
rabbis, I came to see Poland as a place of rebirth, where new Jewish communities
are beginning to thrive. If these descendants are interested, Rabbi Baumol
introduces them to Judaism, with the hope of eventually rebuilding the Jewish
communities of Eastern Europe. We spent one of our last days in Europe at the
JCC in Krakow with Rabbi Avi Baumol, who seeks out the children and
grandchildren of Jews who stayed in Europe after the Holocaust but hid their
religious identity. Unlike Night, however, our trip did not end with total
destruction. And we saw places of destruction, too-Plaszow, Auschwitz-Birkenau
and Majdanek. We mourned in the Buczyna Forest, where the Nazis murdered scores
of Jewish children and threw their bodies into pits. We gathered in a small room
in Theresienstadt, where words of Jewish prayer are fading from the walls.

We stood in beautiful synagogues in Prague that were once staples of vibrant
Jewish communities but today are simply tourist attractions. We visited
Kazimierz Dolny, which was a popular vacation spot for Jews before the
Holocaust. This past spring, I had the privilege of visiting Poland and Prague
with my classmates. Night tells a story of total destruction.

PASSIVE AUDIO TUNER

5/8/2023

Which is fine but, surely, even a passive pre would impose something of itself
onto the sound? By doing it passively, you don’t plug it into the wall and you
don’t listen to the pre-amp. They impose their own sound upon your listening
chain. This, says Billington, is why active pre-amps are flawed. This is a
ridiculous way of turning volume up or down because you end up listening to the
transistor or valve components and the power supply components.” So, you’re
taking the output of your CD player and you’re using it to modulate the
regulated power supply of the pre-amp. You then plug your source into the pre,
then use the signal that’s coming out of the source which modulates the stored
voltage, via a series of transistors or valves and turns that DC back into
either higher voltage version of the CD output or a lower version. That’s then
stored, possibly into capacitors. It pumps out, what, 2V? You plug in your
active pre-amp which sucks in 240V from the wall, turns it into 24V or so,
that’s then rectified, turning into around 18V DC. The active pre puts its own
signature on the sound. So why passive at all? What’s the issue with a powered
pre-amp? Why bother with a passive design? According to Billington, because,
“…you end up listening to the pre-amp rather than the source. The pre-amp is
there to allow you to select your source and adjust the volume.” So you either
have to use an integrated pre-amp or a pre-amp followed by a power amp. “Source
equipment, CD player or tuner and so on, doesn’t normally come with a volume
control, many phono stages don’t or even a Sky digibox. “Not really, no,” said
Billington, shooting down that particular theory. I wondered if the whole idea
of a passive pre was to enable you to effectively get rid of the pre and
virtually, as it where, plug your source into the power amp? Waiting for a
signal from a source which it then passes down the line to your power amp. It’s
also for anyone looking for a (relative) bargain.īeing a passive pre-amp, the
Classic has no power supply, no power switch, no power cable and no plug. It’s a
sort of kick-in-the-pants-type review for anyone looking to buy a pre-amp or
thinking of upgrading. This review is more of an awareness piece, I suppose. It
sounds incredible doesn’t it? Take away the VAT and you’re down to £1,700 and
that’s not very profitable for a small business which also has to include costs
for travelling to shows and renting space, etc.” But, as Billington himself
said, “It’s very difficult to earn a living selling things at £2,040. Not
because it’s past its best – far from it. This model was released in 2003 and
so, you might say, “Paul, your a tad late with this particular review, ain’t you
ol’son?” Reason is that I was about to review Music First’s latest version of
its much more expensive Baby Reference when I heard that the Classic is destined
for retirement. Such transformers occupy the chassis of his Classic passive
pre-amp.

Maybe that’s why his folks have been making top quality transformers since 1963
and why Jonathan Billington has been making superb examples since 1978 because,
to make transformers that reach into the level of genius, this is the sort of
mind you need. He would then take the top right, the next day, followed by the
bottom left the day after that.

Which one do you take now? One in the middle? Top right, perhaps? Music First
Audio owner, Jonathan Billington, would choose the bottom right. OK, next day,
you’re back, hungry for breakfast again and it’s another boiled egg for you.
Which one? Let’s say you took the upper left, for the sake of argument. You can
see six, recently laid eggs, right? If you are going to make a boiled egg, which
egg would you take first? Yes, I know it’s an odd question but bear with me on
this. Imagine you’ve got half a dozen eggs in a box. Music First Audio is a
specialist in transformer production, Paul Rigby reviews the Classic passive
pre-amp which is full of ‘em

WOMEN ONLY DATE UP

5/8/2023

Just see the work of Kumail Nanjiani and Aziz Ansari.

Brown men have literally made a career out of fantasising about dating white
women. Women of colour are often fetishised by white guys while simultaneously
rejected or looked down upon by guys from their own community. This is not to
suggest that brown men have it the worst. We need to question why certain
character or cultural traits are defined as “bad” and more importantly why being
“bad” in that sense is unwanted. I did think I’d landed myself quite a catch – a
white girl. She said these things quite unabashedly and I chose to ignore them
maybe because she was right. “Where does your accent disappear when you sing in
English?”, “What will your parents think if you brought a white girl home? Will
they accept me? Will your community shame you?”, “If and when you tell your
friends about us, they’ll think you got quite a catch, wouldn’t they?”, “Hindus
seem to be way more chilled out in comparison to Muslims”. I wish I sounded like
that”, she would say. For example, a white girl I was briefly seeing made
several borderline offensive comments while we were flirting. This has been
proven to me multiple times. It didn’t help when a British Indian female friend
remarked, in ‘jest,’ that if there were a hierarchy of physical attractiveness
amongst men based on race, brown men are at the bottom followed by black men in
the middle and obviously, white men at the top. This has taken a severe toll on
my self-perception, often to the extent of paranoia. There have been several
instances when my politeness was mistaken for an unwarranted advance. It seems
that Indian men deserve to be the butt of the joke since they cannot spell
“boobs” or “vagina”, unlike white men, who can send a well framed sentence like,
“Send nudes,” which I suppose communicates the message of online harassment more
succinctly.

I should specify that I’m not seeking to condone online harassment – it’s just
that sometimes I need a good, cathartic laugh about the community I represent
and belong to. I am well aware of the fact that a brown man initiating a
conversation with a woman online has certain implications – but men of every
cultural, social, and economic background harass women online, and it seems that
Indian men deserve to be the butt of the joke since they cannot spell “boobs” or
“vagina”, unlike white men, who can send a well framed sentence like, “Send
nudes,” which I suppose communicates the message of online harassment more
succinctly. It wasn’t the rejections themselves that hurt the most, but the way
they were often delivered to me – it was that white women accidentally forgot to
censor their serious racist undertones. My experience of the dating scene here
in the UK as a brown man from the subcontinent has mostly been negative, and I
think my lack of performative whiteness is the problem. Whiteness, much like
gender, is a performance. Hansit explains why he’s changed his dating
preferences as an Indian man

JOSEI MOKU HANGA TO AMAZON

5/7/2023

Mokuhanga on the other hand uses just a small hand-held printing tool called a
baren. Most traditional printing methods ask for expensive and heavy equipment
that the majority of people simply don’t have access to. Inspired by the images
on display, Mia looked into how they were made and was surprised to discover she
wouldn’t need much to start practicing the technique herself. Her first taste of
mokuhanga came in the form of a Japanese ukiyo-e art exhibit at the Brooklyn
Museum. “Japanese Moons Willow” by Mara Cozzolino How about contemporary artists
in Tokyo?Īllow me to introduce Tokyo-based artist Mia O. As well as having the
qualities Mara was searching for, mokuhanga’s harmonious relationship with the
natural world provided her with a source of inspiration that has strongly
influenced her work. Despite being unchanged for centuries, mokuhanga happens to
be an environmentally-friendly, water-based printing process, requiring only
simple materials and no toxic chemicals. Her search for a more eco-friendly
printing process is what led her to mokuhanga. Whilst some etching artists have
managed to make their work processes more sustainable, Mara decided to take the
opportunity to switch to an altogether different technique. Before discovering
mokuhanga, Mara worked as an illustrator practicing another printing technique
known as etching, however it became increasingly difficult for her to justify
its use of toxic chemicals and the impact they were having on both the
environment and her health.

So who’s using the art form overseas?įor one, printmaker Mara Cozzolino has been
practicing mokuhanga from her art studio in northern Italy since 2011. Having
developed alongside publishing and not high art, mokuhanga is an unpretentious
technique that invites us to not only create art but also reconnect with nature
– two basic pleasures that are all too often missing from our modern lives.
Despite having a history that’s strongly connected to Japanese culture,
mokuhanga’s future is appearing to be increasingly international, showing its
potential to connect artists from around the world and offering exciting
opportunities for cultural exchange. Well, mokuhanga is today being recognised
as an accessible and environmentally friendly art form, meeting the needs of
contemporary artists. Whilst the art has a rich history, it is now being
recognized for having unique characteristics that are appealing to modern
artists around the world. The artist then rubs color into the wood and presses
the paper onto the surface which, when removed, reveals the carved image. Any
areas of the image where color should not appear must be cut away from the
block, resulting in something that looks like a wooden stamp. Mokuhanga is a
traditional printing technique once used commercially in Japan to mass produce
images such as Katsushika Hokusai’s famous “The Great Wave off Kanagawa.” The
multi-step process begins with the carving of wooden blocks. All of these
materials are coming together to be used in a process known as woodblock
printing, or mokuhanga. Her specially designed workstation is overflowing with
handmade paper, various tools and bowls of brightly colored pigments. The highly
manual process of the art form she’s employing means that consistency takes time
to master but, with her level of skill, each print is revealed as a perfect
replica of the last.

She is halfway through adding black outlines to a batch of 99 prints. Climbing a
narrow staircase to the third floor of the Mokuhankan print shop in Asakusa
takes me to a studio where a printmaker is at work.

DOOMSDAY VS DARKSEID

5/7/2023

I enjoyed trying to come up with something that looked like they were fighting
inside an engine. For example, I know this is somewhat further afield, but if
you go back to when we did "Reign of the Supermen," and then at the conclusion
in Superman #82, when we had what we were calling like Engine City, I had
everybody plowing through all these gears and cranes and everything else.

I'm one of the weird guys who likes drawing tech. What goes into your spaceship
designs? I don't think that I've ever, outside of Henshaw's original rocket,
seen you draw a "traditional" spacecraft. I think that's part of what really
makes the character work. To watch them die over and over again, and recreating
them so you push that evolutions progress along at a much faster rate - I think
the kind of mind that would engineer something like that is something that is
worth exploring, and I think it is also something that has helped make
Doomsday's origin unique. At the same time, I think the downside to not working
with it more is when you really get down to it, there is something rather
horrific, I think, about taking a creature and trying to cultivate something
that can evolve to face whatever the obstacle is on a much quicker rate.

I understand that they had to take a bit of a different approach. Obviously if
you really start to show it, this becomes 15 minutes of the film. I certainly
understood in the Batman v Superman film why they had to change the Doomsday
origin to something that involved Luthor for the economy of storytelling. Is it
a little weird that the idea of Doomsday being a Kryptonian cloning experiment
has been so embraced by outside media, but we've never actually seen Bertron?Ī
little bit. I want it to be in this format." DC was more than willing to have
that conversation and say, "Yeah, by all means, let's go ahead and do this." I
think it was something that as I started to put together an origin for Doomsday,
I think when I first started talking about it, it was me saying, "I want to do
it in this format. Was there ever the idea that this would just be part of your
monthly Superman? Or was it always, "No, this going to be a standalone Prestige
book."

It is something you could do in a format that might not have flown in a
newsstand comic that we would have been submitting to the Comics Code Authority,
if anybody even remembers what that is. I think you saw that with Dark Knight
when Frank Miller did that, that we obviously saw women with exposed breasts,
and swastikas on their nipples, for example. Because of that, it gave us that
leeway just to elevate some of that content a little bit. It'd be 48 pages
without ads, a square bound thing. I think if we explain - because it's somewhat
a format we haven't seen in a long time, and I've always thought hands down,
this was my favorite format to work in - back then we called it the Prestige
format. Did they give you a little bit more leeway because of the fact that this
was a Prestige project coming off of The Death and Return of Superman? One other
thing that struck me real early on is the amount of blood. I've always thought
that that is the kind of thing that works well, and helps to ground Superman in
the process. I have always tried to approach Clark from a human point of view,
which is what I think ultimately makes Superman that much more relatable, and in
a way, that much stronger. That's why we can always relate to that there is
always that echo of something in the night. Everybody has something that they're
afraid of. I think that was really the point of what we were going for there, is
this idea that I don't care who you are - I don't care if you're Superman, I
don't care if you're the world's toughest guy, I don't care if you're the
toughest six year old that might be around. The second part of it is, I think
that one of the things, if you look back on how I always approached Clark, I
always tried to make him as human as I possibly could.

Look, I think first of all, I'll say it, it's in continuity, so there.

SMART BATTERY ISOLATOR LITHIUM

Finally, MPPT regulators accept a higher input voltage (up to 250V) compared to
PWM (23V or 55V max). With more sophisticated charging algorithms, this type of
regulator provides up to 30% more efficiency compared to a PWM regulator
(especially during cloudy periods). MPPT Charge Controller (Maximum power point
tracker) However, they do not allow charging a 12V battery bank with panels
whose voltage is greater than 23V. With their low cost, it is a basic charge
regulator, which has the function of adapting the voltage of the panels for your
battery bank. PWM Charge Controller (Pulse Width Modulation) There are two main
types of solar charge controllers: PRECISION – Circuits Battery Isolator Manager
(Chose the lithium modelĪ solar charge controller is a current or voltage
controller that manages the power that is transferred from your solar panels to
your battery bank.Another advantage of BIM is that it will reactivate your
lithium batteries if they are completely dead.

This prevents overheating of the alternator. Note that the BIM works with a 15
minute charge cycle followed by 20 minutes of disconnection. Charging the
batteries with a higher charge current will therefore be more efficient for a
battery bank of 3 or more batteries. RENOGY – 50A DC-DC on board battery charger

the function of temporarily connecting the auxiliary batteries directly with the
alternator in order to reactivate the lithium batteries. Some DC-DCs are not
able to reactivate batteries that are completely dead. STERLING – Power Battery
