REGISTERING FOR FTS: NEW CUSTOMER
HOW TO ACCESS FREQUENCY AND TIME SYSTEM (FTS) TECHNICAL RESOURCES IF YOU ARE A
NEW CUSTOMER
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are a new customer and require support for Frequency and Time products,
you must request access within the portal and be approved to gain admission to
these resources. This page will guide you through the necessary steps for
applying for FTS access. Once approved, you will gain access to FTS technical
cases, RMAs, software, technical documentation, licenses and other technical
support services.

PLEASE FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW TO ACCESS YOUR FTS TECHNICAL RESOURCES ON
MYMICROCHIP
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Go to the myMicrochip portal. Click on the "Register for an account" link to
create a myMicrochip account if you do not have one already.

2. Fill in all required fields to create an account in myMicrochip. Click on
the "Save my Profile and Continue" button to proceed.
3. An email with a verification link will be sent to your email address which
was used to create the account. Click on the link to verify your email and
to activate your myMicrochip account.
4. After verification, login to myMicrochip using the same email and password
used to create the account. Upon first login you be directed to the
"myMicrochip Preferences" page. Mouse over the "Frequency and Time…"
sub-menu and a message will appear. Please click on the "submit your access
request" link.
5. Click on the checkbox that says "Subscribe to access Frequency and Time
Systems Resources". Then click on the "Submit" button.
6. You will then see this message:
7. Navigate back to your email inbox and locate the "Frequency and Time
Systems Resources Access Confirmation" email. Click on the link in the email
to confirm access to FTS resources.
8. Your verification status is displayed in two different locations:
a. The home screen of the myMicrochip Dashboard
b. The Frequency and Time home page
9. You will receive an email with updated status. With approval, you are now
ready to access FTS resources. If denied, the email will provide an
explanation.
10. Approved FTS users will see the "Frequency and Time…" sub-menu options
appear when selected. Click on the dropdown arrow and five options will be
presented:
* "File Search" enables quick access to manuals, SRNs, FSBs and other
documents.
* "FTS Contract List" provides a view of the support contract status.
* “Manage Alerts” allows you to subscribe to notifications for new FTS
content.
* “Tech Support/RMA Requests” will direct you to our support site in order
to raise a technical support case or RMA service request. You can also
look at any of your existing cases.
* “Email Change Request” will give you the ability to request an email
change to your existing portal account.
Congratulations, you have finished the new user registration procedure.
Please continue to the next section to review the features on the myMicrochip
portal.
FILE SEARCH
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Content can be searched and filtered by "Products", "Content Categories", or
"Keywords". These categories can be used independently using just one of the
categories.
* For example, if you want to view all content for the SyncServer® S650 device,
you can select the Product "SyncServer S650" and click "Search". If you want
to view Product Discontinuance Notices for all products, you can select the
Content Category of "Product Discontinuance Notices" and click "Search".

* You can also combine your categories to narrow your search criteria. For
example, you can use "Products" to search for "SyncServer S600" and "Content
Categories" to search for "Manuals" to only show manuals for the SyncServer
S600 device.

* You can subscribe to notifications when content is released on specific
products. You can select specific or all FTS products based on your
preference. When you save the preferences, your registered email will begin
receiving messages whenever new content is uploaded on the portal.

* Clicking on "Technical Support/RMA Request" will open a new web browser tab
to the Microchip Technical Support Portal as shown below.

* You can view all your cases and RMA requests on this page. Click on the "New
Case" button to create a new case or RMA request.
* Depending on the type of issue, select either an FTS RMA request or Technical
Support Issue – FTS and click on the "Proceed" button.
* You will then be directed to a form based on your selection.
EMAIL EXCHANGE REQUEST
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* The Email Change Request will give you the ability to request an email change
to your existing portal account. This is typically used when customers have
changed their domain or been acquired.
*Please do not use this feature if you have changed companies.
