The Guttmacher Institute and WHO have collaborated over the past 15 years to
periodically estimate the global incidence of safe and unsafe abortion.
Guttmacher has also participated in WHO's expert panels on various topics,
including contraception and adolescent SRH, and is collaborating with WHO to
study the association of hormonal contraception with a woman’s risk of HIV
acquisition.
