Dies war die letzte Station unserer Reise zur Diagnose und Behandlung seiner Blutgerinnsel. Eigentlich hätte dies die erste Station für seine Behandlung sein sollen. Um es kurz zu machen, erzähle ich unsere Geschichte. Mein Mann hatte eine Kreuzbandrekonstruktion und da er als jung und gesund gilt, erhielt er nach der Operation keine Blutverdünner. Ungefähr drei Wochen nach der Operation bekam er Symptome von Kurzatmigkeit, Engegefühl in der Brust und fühlte sich einfach nicht richtig. Er wurde in die Notaufnahme gebracht und in ein Krankenhaus in Fremont eingeliefert, wo man ihm 48 Stunden lang Heparin als Tropf verabreichte und ihm dann Eliquis in Tablettenform zum Mitnehmen verabreichte. Entgegen unserer Bedenken hat der Krankenhausarzt ihn einfach entlassen und nach Hause geschickt. Er hatte eine beidseitige Lungenembolie mit einer Sattelembolie von 4 cm und einer verbliebenen TVT von 6 Zoll im Bein. Sie hätten ihn niemals so nach Hause schicken sollen. Glücklicherweise trafen wir Dr. Padidar, der meinen Mann am selben Tag wegen eines dringenden Termins aufsuchte und ihn am nächsten Morgen einplanen konnte, um einen IVC-Filter zu platzieren, um zu verhindern, dass verbleibende TVT durch den rechten Ventrikel wandern und ihn vollständig verschließen. Ich würde jedem, der eine kompetente und aktuelle Behandlung wünscht, eine TVT-Behandlung bei Dr. Padidar empfehlen. Das Berührendste an unserer Erfahrung ist die Tatsache, dass ich immer wieder Spezialisten gefragt habe, ob er eine TVT im Bein hatte und bereits eine verminderte Lungen- und Herzfunktion hatte. Was würde verhindern, dass die TVT im Bein nach oben wandert und tötet? Mein Mann, der Facharzt und die Ärzte im Krankenhaus beruhigten uns immer wieder mit der Aussage, dass das sehr selten vorkommt, wenn er jung ist, wird es Ihnen gut gehen. Als ich Dr. Padidar traf, hörte er sich unsere Anliegen wirklich an und zum ersten Mal in diesem ganzen Prozess brachen mir die Tränen, weil ich endlich jemanden gefunden hatte, der meinen Mann so behandelte, als wäre sein Leben wichtig, und dem das Ergebnis seiner Gesundheit am Herzen lag. Der Eingriff verlief gut und mein Mann wurde sehr freundlich und respektvoll von Sam, einem wunderbaren Menschen und kompetenten Gesundheitsexperten, Jeffery, behandelt, der meinen Mann nach dem Eingriff mehrere Tage lang anrief und nach ihm sah. Und ich weiß, dass es auch mehrere andere Menschen gab, die bei diesem Prozess geholfen haben, und es tut mir leid, dass ich mich zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht an Ihren Namen erinnere, aber alle waren herzlich und professionell. Da ich selbst Anwalt bin, weiß ich, wie wichtig es ist, jemanden zu haben, der einem hilft, seine Bedenken auszudrücken, wenn man sich krank fühlt und nicht die Kraft dazu hat.
