HELLO WEB – AGAIN

INTRODUCTION

This is the start of the self-hosted version of the blog that I created on
write.as, powered by the same writefreely blogging engine.


WHY START THIS NEW BLOG

The main reason behind self-hosting it is that I don't want to pay to use my own
domain for the blog. Besides, most of the quality of life features are also put
behind a paywall in the hosted version while they're freely available in the
self-hosted version.

Although it may appear counter-intuitive for them to do that, I appreciate the
fact that they've made it open-source at all, I am not going to judge a project
for doing that. I'm sure they've thought it through.


WHAT'S NEXT

Since I penned the first blog post, there have been a few ideas that have been
stirring inside my head, I might wrote a blog post about one of them soon :)

HELLO WEB

I might write a couple of tech-related blog posts here occasionally. I've been
thinking of doing of that for a while but I couldn't decide on a platform.

Today I read the news about write.as reopening free registrations so I took
advantage of the opportunity and snatched an account for this blog :)
