   Lon Johnson is running for Carefree Town Council. Lon is passionate about
   representing and serving the best interests of all Carefree residents.
   Carefree, Arizona, established in 1959 and incorporated in 1984, is a small,
   unique town with a rich history and is a highly-desirable destination for
   visitors. Lon is committed to ensuring that all Carefree residents have a
   strong voice concerning the governance and future of our beloved community.
   
    
   
   Because 62% of Carefree’s budget depends on locally generated sales tax, it
   is imperative that we restore our Town Center to attract locals and visitors
   and maximize this revenue stream.
   
    
   
   Lon's goals for Carefree as a council member:
   
    * Maintain a balance between Quality of Life and Economic Growth
    * Prioritize safety throughout our town for residents and visitors
    * Ensure transparency between Government and Community
    * Build a strong economic infrastructure to provide prosperity and
      fiscal stability, eliminating the need for future taxation.
    * Honor and preserve open spaces through environmental stewardship
    * Utilize our collective professional expertise and experience among our
      Carefree residents.
    * Unify and unite our community and town council/administration to achieve
      collaborative success
    * Honor and restore existing architecture to enhance the town and restore
      its “carefree” charm
   
   As a member of the Town Council, Lon plans to utilize his 43 years of
   extensive business experience. He is currently Senior Vice President of Sales
   for Colbert Packaging, as well as a member on its Board of Directors.
   Throughout Lon’s career, he has built businesses, run sales and marketing
   teams, and collaborated on mergers and acquisitions.
   
    
   
   Lon is also a current commissioner on the Carefree Planning and Zoning
   Commission, as well as a member of the Carefreepark.org board. Lon is a
   graduate of the 2023 Desert Foothills Leadership Academy class and a current
   member of the academy's Leadership Advisory Board.
   
    
   
   Lon's vast experience will support his objective to make careful fiscal,
   practical, and common-sense decisions as a Carefree Town Council member.
