HERE AT APVA,

Think of us like a support system for leading and aspiring podcasters, voice
artists, spoken-word artists, and poets.

The Association of African Podcasters and Voice Artists is a community-driven
organization that seeks to discover, amplify, and celebrate African voice/audio
creatives. 

There are currently two definitions of APVA; There is APVA as a new community,
i.e., The Association of African Podcasters and Voice Artists. It also means the
African Podcasts and Voice Awards. Regardless of definition, our primary goals
remain to discover, amplify, and celebrate the African voice.

We have taken it upon ourselves to discover Africa’s unique voices by
recognizing Africans deserving of being showcased for the rest of the world to
appreciate, creatives retelling the African narrative

We develop homegrown resources and tools to meet the needs of the African audio
creative. 

We lead and drive dialogues with international organizations (prospect partners)
and mediate to provide tools, resources, initiatives, and facilities that
African audio creatives can easily access.

 



Giving much-needed attention to Africa’s best and unreached.

We are rejigging a few things within APVA. It’s been more than a year since we
launched, and we are grateful for the support we’ve received.

At the moment, we emphasize the need to Discover, Amplify and Celebrate African
voices However, we are looking to deliver on a  mission that will help
strengthen the African audio industry and transform audio skills into viable
businesses.

We want to create a platform for the first 1000 audio creatives and audio
industry supporters. While this program is in the works, we would love to know
who will be interested in participating.
