WHAT IS HUMANΨUNITY?

Russia’s war against Ukraine triggered unprecedented and united responses of aid
and volunteerism in support for Ukraine. Ordinary people everywhere are doing
extraordinary things to help keep Ukrainians in the fight, hopeful, and
resilient.

HUMANΨUNITY is a feature-length documentary examining the stories of the
volunteers - both inside and outside Ukraine - who are contributing whatever
actions, skills, and resources they can.

 


HUMANITY AMIDST TYRANNY

This documentary examines the diverse, life-altering journeys the Russian
invasion has forced upon Ukrainians through the stories of the volunteers. From
those housing refugees in other countries to those risking their lives on the
front lines, these often-unsung contributions are making an enormous difference.

The volunteers’ moving stories of compassion, courage, and the tremendous impact
they are having for Ukraine shine a light on what becomes possible when people
unite behind our shared humanity.

With its unique focus on hope and possibility, the film will motivate and
empower viewers to reject hopelessness and make a real impact in the fight for
justice and freedom.

All support makes a difference. People everywhere are contributing support for
Ukraine however they can. This documentary represents our team’s collective
contribution to provide support in a way that we can.

By sharing these stories of hope and possibility amid the war’s ongoing
atrocities, we aim to inspire many more people to help Ukraine however they can.
And we could use your support to do so.

While our successful Kickstarter campaign was such an important milestone and
bridge as we pursue other larger funding sources, the total amount needed to
cover the cost of production and bring HUMANΨUNITY to the world as quickly as
possible is actually several times that.

We aim to cover our costs for producing this self-funded documentary, but all
profits will be donated to directly support the various relief efforts featured
in the film. Help us bring HUMANΨUNITY to the world by making a 100%

   Mark is an internationally recognized, award-winning photographer, director,
   and D.P. He is the founder of Fisher Creative, and has over 75 editorial
   publications, countless covers, 10+ photo books, and documentaries including
   CNN’s Expedition Everest on Ben Fogle and Victoria Pendleton and National
   Geographic's Perpetual Planet: Life at the Extremes Everest Expedition, to
   name a few. Mark’s mission with Fisher Creative is to tell epic stories that
   drive positive environmental and social change.

 * PATRICK SWEENEY (IMDB) - Co-Producer & Co-Director: Patrick is an
   award-winning producer, entrepreneur, best-selling author, angel investor,
   and philanthropist. He has created five documentary films and one web series.
   Two of the films won international film festivals. He has invested in over 60
   start-ups and is currently the CEO of DaVinci 3.0 and the co-founder of
   Chamonix Crypto Community. President Obama awarded him the 2006 Innovation
   Award for technology.

 * MIKE BANKER (IMDB) - Co-Producer, Writer, and Assistant Director: Mike is a
   multi-faceted communicator, writer, environmental wonk, policy and political
   enthusiast, and production jack-of-all-trades. His unicorn career has taken
   him from The Onion to television production to environmental grant-making to
   communications and marketing on behalf of the causes dearest to his soul.
   Mike likes to write stuff and tell stories that can help drive momentum to
   make the world a better place.
