WE ARE QUEENSBURY FOODBANK

WE ARE QUEENSBURY IS A SMALL GROUP OF VOLUNTEERS PROVIDING WEEKLY AND EMERGENCY
FOOD PARCELS IN A BID TO END FOOD POVERTY IN OUR LOCAL AREA

OUR MISSION



Our mission is to end food poverty in our local area, to encourage people to get
back into work or education in order to better their life. We have also
partnered with some amazing organisations to ensure we can give local people the
help and support they need no matter their current situation.

CAN WE HELP YOU?




ARE YOU STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY WITH THE COST OF LIVING CRISIS?

So is everyone else, you’re not alone! At the Foodbank we can help take the
pressure off the situation by topping up your weekly shop with essentials such
as tins, toilet rolls, pasta, bread and more.


IS THERE A CRITERIA?

NO! If you live locally and need our help then the foodbank works on self
referral. We Don’t require someone else to decide if you need our help, you know
better than anyone if you need our help.


WHERE CAN YOU FIND US?

We are based at 25 High Street, Queensbury, BD13 2PE

We are open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays 10:30am until 12:30pm

Wednesday evenings 6:30pm-7:30pm

No appointment needed.


HOW DO YOU REGISTER?

You simply come to the foodbank anytime we are open, no appointment needed. We
will ask you to fill out a simple form, you will be offered a drink and snacks.
Then together we make you a bag and take it home.

There is no charge for parcels, and you can visit every week. We also have
professional advisors to support with benefits, family support and job search

organisations to ensure all our services users get the full support they need.

If you would like to support us on a monthly basis, a one off or just as and
when you feel you would like to our bank details are:

You can also make cash donations directly to us at the foodbank- some people
find it easier to donate cash than actually go shopping for food donations and
for some people doing a bank transfer the easiest way to help and we are
grateful and happy to receive help anyway you can.
 
As always every single penny we receive goes directly on food to stock our
shelves.

helped me and my husband. If it wasn't for the foodbank we would have to skip

really nice and i felt very comfortable going in.”
“I love coming into the foodbank and having a chat with the volunteers and other

welcoming space. I look forward to coming in each week.”
