I'M JASON BASUIL

I'm a Software Engineer based in the SF Bay Area. I love thoughtfully creating
and carefully building experiences for others that allow them to do more of what
they want. Whether that’s building client-side front-end experiences for users
or helping students realize their potential, I am motivated to help others
achieve more of what they want.

FEB. 2021 - PRESENT

Currently working in a UX Engineer function on the Design System team building
resuable & consistent components for the User Interviews web applications.



SOFTWARE ENGINEER @ EARNIN

SEPT. 2019 - APRIL 2020

I worked as a Software Engineer on the web-frontend team at Earnin. We built
internal tools for the Customer Experience team, building React applications in
TypeScript supporting 1,000+ support agents.



PROGRAMMING DIRECTOR @ DESTINED FOR X

MAR. 2017 - PRESENT

Improving educational outcomes for under-privileged and under-represented
minorities from across California. Redesigned the company website in React and
improved site performance using Google's Web Vitals assessment.



SOFTWARE ENGINEERING GRAD @ FLATIRON SCHOOL

OCT. 2018 - MAY 2019

Graduated from an intensive 15-week Software Engineering Bootcamp in Seattle.
Built full stack applications in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, React, Redux,
and Node. Deployed to Heroku, AWS, and Netlify.

Deployed on Netlify a redesigned website for my non-profit in 1 week. Worked
with my team @destinedforx to scope out new site requirements.

TuneTest is a fun music guessing game that pulls your Top Tracks andTop Artists
from your Spotify account. Play with your friends with the Search feature and
test them on their favorite artist's top tracks.
