Hey everyone! Finally getting around to sending out a propdate on prop 215. It's
probably been a while since some of you have heard from us, so here's a quick
recap:

PROGRESS

We launched on October 20th with a contest of our own to remix the new platform
branding. We received some awesome submissions and officially kicked off the
Uplink era. After this contest, we shipped support for video submissions.

Shortly afterwards, Krause House and TNS jumped on the platform, each hosting a
Halloween themed contest with their own unique twists. From our perspective, the
TNS contest was a big hit and probably the most successful contest they've run
with us to date (going back to our old MVP). An animator from Rick and Morty
submitted and lived streamed his creative process on Twitch. 2 of the winners
were video submissions, giving us confidence that video is an important medium
for creators on Uplink and worth investing more brain cycles in.

Yesterday we launched integration with assets on Base L2, and later that night
Based Management came onboard with a contest of their own.

That pretty much brings us to where we are today. We're (hopefully) launching an
awesome new feature by the end of this week. Right now we're aggressively in
ship mode - taking feedback from the latest contests and designing new features
for our incumbent hosts and creators. Next week we'll spend a bit more time in
the onboarding department.

USAGE METRICS

Here are some analytics from launch to now (last 30 days). As you can see,
visitor influx is tightly coupled with contest activity. We're planning some new
features that will bring users in regardless of contest status.

WRAPPING UP

I wanted to keep this update short and sweet, but we plan on using Farcaster,
updates.wtf, and our Twitter accounts to share the latest - we haven't quite
figured out how to balance all 3 of these yet but we're getting there. Also, the
site is open for anyone to create a contest. If you're interested or have

we synced with ASK and TSP last week on this initiative and things continue to
progress, no blockers at this time. Spohn Ranch is building the skateable Noggle
Rail, Van Eggers is working on Nouns artwork for the park, and all the steel
necessary for the project has been fabricated.

We're waiting to hear back from the construction team on what their latest
timeline is for concrete and installation as their last targets were November!

THE NOUN SQUARE SEASON 2 RE-CAP

The Noun Square Onchain Media Collective is one of the most committed, effective
and Lindy teams ever funded by Nouns.

We have been making a meaningful impact on the community throughout Season 2,
via daily Spaces, regular art contests, entertaining video content and more. Our
highly engaged network of fans has produced nearly 6 Million unique content
impressions so far this year on X alone.

We have responded to Nouner feedback and leaned down our operations as much as
possible, shifting focus to the creation of more rich video content, including a
promising new weekly video podcast called Zero Rights Reserved
(YouTube)(Spotify), which has racked up over 350,000 views across our socials in
just 4 months.

We've also been trailblazers when it comes to Nouns on Ethereum L2's, onboarding
our community to Optimism, Zora Network and soon BASE through various
initiatives and educational content.

Unique among funded Nouns projects, we raised more than 20 ETH in operations
funding from non-Nouns sources so far this year, and have stretched the 6 month
mandate from Prop 226 to 9+ months.

LAST SEASON, ON THE NOUN SQUARE...

A Short List of Some Notable Things We Accomplished During Season 2:

* We have remained steadfast in our commitment to act as a reliable daily
touchpoint for the nouniverse, hosting more than 500 Noun O' Clock LIVE shows
in a row without missing a single day, accumulating almost 40,000 total
Spaces listens year-to-date and impressive overall engagement metrics from
our X Community, including an average of 20,000 impressions, 215 Likes and
112 Re-Posts PER DAY.
* After receiving Nouner feedback, we pivoted much of our team energy into
creating more pieces of engaging video content like "This Week in Nouns",
educational tutorials, and our new weekly video podcast Zero Rights Reserved.
* We scaled back our original project scope considerably by partially
sunsetting the SoapBox program and leaning down the core team to do more with
less, ultimately stretching a 6 month engagement to 9+ months. We
"open-sourced" the process and created a dedicated account for community
spaces called TNS OpenMic (more on this below).
* We have raised a total of 20+ ETH so far from outside sources towards the
funding of our operations and contests via a combination of trial sponsorship
collaborations with values-aligned groups, grants awards, and our daily NOMO
Edition mint proceeds.
* We have positioned ourselves as a vanguard of nounish activity on Ethereum
L2, educating and onboarding our community to the Optimism network via NOMO,
the Zora Network through our weekly podcast open editions, and soon the BASE
L2 with our imminent Yellow Collective launch.

1) CONTINUED CONSISTENCY AND COMMUNITY-BUILDING + SUPPORT OF NOUNS-FUNDED
PROJECTS

So far this year, we have hosted 311 consecutive Noun O' Clock LIVE X Spaces,
bringing our lifetime running total to 510 straight Spaces. If you include our
various other nounish Spaces as well, the total year-to-date jumps to 857
Spaces, which equates to 921 total hours on air, or a total of 38 full days of
broadcasting nounish content, with a total of 37,800 cumulative listeners.

On top of our daily Spaces participation, we have also seen tremendous X/Twitter
timeline engagement from TNS community on our art contests, video content and
other daily posts, with an impressive 5.9 Million impressions so far year to
date, which equates to a per-day rate of nearly 20,000 impressions, 215 Likes
and 112 Re-Posts! We've also completely organically grown our following by
almost 100% to 9100 followers, which makes us the largest nounish account by
follower count on X after @nounsdao and our friends at @nounsesports.

In addition to serving as a consistent and reliable content hub for Nouns fans,
we have also strived to be a helpful media liaison to nounish subDAOs and funded
Nouns projects, helping to coordinate and host Twitter/X events, Discord events
and more, and generally amplify their messaging to our network.

Some examples of this kind of community support:

* Supporting the "Nouns: A Movie" team by coordinating and hosting a watch
party for their Episode 1 Premiere, and amplifying their various
announcements and initiatives like their open casting call, etc.
* Supporting the Nouns AI pod by cohosting a weekly Update Call in our Discord
that was free for anyone to join and keep up to date with what that team was
building, as well as general news from the AI space. (Example archive
recording here.) We also produced this awesome video summarizing everything
Nouns AI accomplished in 2023.
* Supporting Nouns Esports by amplifying various contests and announcements,
co-hosting weekly Twitter/X Spaces, and hosting a live watch party by request
during their TI12 faceoff against GG.
* Collaborating with Nouns Agora to host a Nouns Governance Discussion most
weeks on Twitter/X Spaces with Yitong.
* Supporting Brennen's Tavern project by recently moving one day per week of
Noun O' Clock LIVE to tavern.fm. (Not a Nouns-funded project per se, but
Brennen is a Nouner and we like the duck.)
* Collaborating to support Lil Nouns DAO's The Lil Nouns Show, and producing a
feature video on their funded Lil Bevs proposal (tentative release date
January 2024.)
* Collaborating with subDAOs such as Lil Nouns DAO, Gnars, Food Nouns, Nouns
Amigos, Nouns Japan, NounsCN, Nouns BR and more to host and cohost regular
spaces for their communities.

Engaging Nounish Artists and Creatives:

Our art contests have continued to be very popular in terms of engagement, and
also continue to impress in terms of quality and quantity of output. Here are a
couple examples of winning entries from some of our many contests this year:

We constantly see new people tuning into our spaces and engaging with our
content, asking questions about Nouns, etc. in the days following an art
contest. This is part of the reason why have centred the vision of our upcoming
Yellow Collective launch around funding and empowering as many nounish artists
and creatives as possible (more below.)

Crowd-Sourced Auction Settling:

Speaking of art, one other way that TNS has contributed to the Nouns ecosystem
this season is by making a fun daily spectacle of choosing the new Noun of the
Day on Noun O' Clock LIVE.

With the help of our audience, we have settled some pretty amazing Nouns this
year, including some special ones for occasions, such as a Halloween Ghost, a
Birthday Cake for Aug 8, a Black Cat for Token 666, etc. Some of these aesthetic
Nouns have sold at auction for above-average prices, even despite the fork
dynamic. Noun 658 (Dark Factory) for example sold for 51 ETH, a full 25 ETH more
than the average Noun was going for at that time.

We also challenged ourselves earlier this year to try and mint every unminted
Noun head, and succeeded just prior to the 2nd Nouniversary. We then challenged
ourselves again to mint all the newly added heads as quickly as possible, and
succeeded in less than 2 weeks. As a result, Proposal 401 was able to award
every contributing artist an existing Noun with their own created head.

2) A FRESH FOCUS ON VIDEO CONTENT:

During the earliest months of this season, TNS was producing and facilitating an
average of 40 Twitter/X Spaces per week for various nounish communities. We
sought and received feedback from nouners and our audience, and learned that
their favorite content was moreso our educational/informative video content on
YouTube and TikTok, and so we decided as a team to shift our resources and
attention towards increasing the production of this kind of rich media content
on a more regular basis.

Since that time, we have been producing 5-8 high quality pieces of video content
per month. Here are some notable examples of rich media produced by TNS this
year:

decided to make a short video about our 100K donation to the Gitcoin Crypto

In addition to longform video content, we have also continued to leverage our
TNS TikTok Accounts to repurpose shorter versions of our videos, and
platform-native shorts. We've continued to grow our English language and
Brazilian Portuguese language accounts this year to a combined 38,500 followers,
and have received over 150,000 views on our short videos there YTD.

Year-to-date, our video content has received over 650,000 views across our
socials, with 70% of that content coming in the latter part of the Season
following our renewed emphasis on video production and distribution.

3) THE ZERO RIGHTS RESERVED PODCAST: EARLY SIGNS OF SUCCESS

Zero Rights Reserved is a weekly video podcast that we launched in June as part
of our renewed focus on creating more rich digital media. It is a podcast about
Nouns, DAOs, Ethereum, Art and more, and our goal is to interview interesting
guests from around the onchain space from a Nounish perspective, while educating
and entertaining our audience and bridging gaps to other like-minded
communities.

So far, the podcast has been getting extremely good feedback from listeners both
inside and outside the nouns community, as well as from the guests that we have
invited on:

Notable guests so far have included Jack Butcher, Deadfellaz cofounder Psych,
Supriyo from Nouns Movie, Bob Burnquist, Chris and Eric from Stoopid Buddy,
Cryptopunk Noah, Dan Romero, founder of Farcaster, and more.

ZEROPOD has also proven to be our most popular piece of recurring video content
so far, racking up over 350K impressions across TNS socials for the first 16
episodes. Podcast subscriptions and downloads are all steadily growing, and from
a human impact perspective, the initiative has been a great bridge to other
values-aligned communities such as Gitcoin, Checks/Opepen, Deadfellaz,
OnChainMonkey and more. We have started to see more and more people from these
other communities joining Noun O' Clock LIVE regularly to learn more about Nouns
after having their interest piqued by the pod!

We have also been minting each episode of ZEROPOD as a special ONCHAIN
collection on Zora using the Zora L2 network. You can check them out and mint
for free here.

Like all of our content at TNS, and as the name would imply, all Zero Rights
Reserved conetent is fully CC0, and we have started to compile a simple
repository of both raw and edited footage that anyone is free to use however
they see fit. You can view the repository here.

We believe ZEROPOD has the potential to become our co-flaship production
alongside Noun O' Clock LIVE. The former bringing in nouns-curious eyeballs from
all over the web 3 space, while the latter acts as an effective sieve to catch
artists and creatives and help them find ways to contribute meaningfully to the
community.

4) A NOTE ABOUT TEAM ADAPTABILITY

As mentioned previously, in the early part of this year, TNS was managing and
facilitating up to 40 Twitter Spaces per week for communities such as Gnars, Lil
Nouns, Unouns, Nouns Amigos, and more via our SoapBox Program.

While we do maintain that the SoapBox program was impactful for
community-building, and was certainly appreciated in many corners of the
nouniverse, it also demanded a lot of labor to maintain in terms of scheduling,
administration, social media messaging, hosting and coordination. As we started
to receive feedback from Nouns DAO members that they did not feel SoapBox should
be a primary focus for TNS, we made the difficult decision to mostly wind it
down.

So as not to leave our communities in the lurch, we did the social media
equivalent of making SoapBox "open source": We built a new affiliated X account
called TNS OpenMic, where any nounsfolk could apply to host a show about any
nounish community or topic of their choosing. We will still amplify where
possible, but without the previous commitment of in-house scheduling, hosting,
messaging etc. Our new vision for OpenMic is that it can act as a kind of Public
Access Channel for Nouns, where anyone can show up and spin up a Space with a
built-in potential audience and iterate their concept.

As a result of these and other changes to our day-to-day operations, we have
been able to stretch our previous mandate of 6 months from prop 226 to 9+
months.

5) PROMISING PROGRESS ON SELF-FUNDING & ALTERNATIVE FUNDING SOURCES

One of our primary goals in Season 2 was to explore alternate sources of funding
to become more self-sufficient as an organization, and we have explored this
priority from three main angles: 1) Sponsorship collaborations, 2) Grants from
other sources, and 3) Crypto Native revenue generation.

On item 1, we were able to negotiate 4 collaborations with values-aligned
organizations plus a one-off video commission, for a total ETH value of 5.5 ETH.
Thank you to Dawn Wallet, Gnars DAO and OnChainMonkey for being open to
collaboration. We have open discussions with various other organizations and
protocols as well for future month-long content sponsorship collaborations.

Secondly, we were extremely grateful to be awarded a Gitcoin Public Goods grant
of 2.5 ETH for outstanding work in Web 3 Education and Onboarding, and a 5 ETH
grant from Builder DAO to seed the imminently launching Yellow Collective
treasury with funds to be used for nounish art contests and content commissions.

And finally, we have brought in a total of 9.14 ETH YTD from our NOMO Nouns
Daily Edition mints over the course of Season 2. We have also been iterating and
evolving the NOMO collection and experience to make it more accessible for our
audience. This summer, we migrated the collection to the Optimism L2 to solve
the problem of a $7 daily mint that was costing $50 in gas on mainnet. Recently,
we also made the decision to lower the mint cost from ~$7 to ~$1 to again
encourage more broad participation from our community on a daily basis.

With these four sources combined, we have so far raised 22.14 ETH in outside
revenue and grants, and we hope to double this amount in Season 3.

One way that we will do that is with the launch of The Yellow Collective, a new
TNS onchain club that will be deployed this month as a daily nounish auction on
the BASE L2 using Nouns Builder.

6) NOUNS ON THE OP STACK

We noticed an interesting problem when talking to our community: Many wanted to
"Enjoy Ethereum", but they were fed up with paying high gas fees to do so. We
decided to make it part of our mandate to teach our 50,000+ followers across
socials about the benefits of using OP Stack chains, and show them exactly how
to do it.

First, we migrated our daily edition collection "NOMO Nouns" from mainnet to OP,
and produced some helpful tutorials on how to bridge ETH. Next, we started
minting our Zero Rights Reserved podcasts as FREE mint collectibles on Zora L2
(shout out Jacob for helping us with this rollout.)

Finally, we are launching a "DAO" (onchain collective) on BASE L2 using Nouns
Builder this month, called The Yellow Collective. You can learn more about our
plans for this, and the BASE-deployed "Collective Nouns" daily auctions in our
announcement thread here.

This diagram helps to illustrate our three-pronged strategy for educating the
Nouns community about the OP Stack, and the importance of Ethereum L2s:

One of our core ideals is to help create a safe and accesible place for people
from all over the world to be able to Enjoy Nouns, and we are excited to
leverage these L2 initiatives to do just that.

But most of all, we're just excited for these Collective Nouns auctions to
start... I mean, just look at these community-drawn traits that won our recent
Prop House competition!

As part of the Propdates 2.0 prop, we allocated 5 ETH to give to the first 100
props to be updated, as additional incentives. Doing some math now, we already
would be allocating half of that to people who have posted already, which feels
wrong. As folks like Yitong have pointed out, maybe something more social /
Nouns-native would make more sense instead.

If we used the budget to commission a Gardener-style NFT for Updaters, would
people be okay with that? Might be split up by month or something like that.
We'd return the rest of the unused funds.

Cheers, everyone! Great progress since our proposal passed: We're in the media
spotlight with mentions on All Beers, Blocknews and Livecoins, and we've
received 114 reviews (here and here) on Untappd. Just 2 days after the proposal
passed, we bootstrapped the production and the launch event for Public Good Beer
in Lisbon. The event at Cervejaria Canil, in partnership with Polygon Guild,
welcomed more than 70 attendees, and it was amazing! Another event with Polygon
is confirmed for November 9th. Now, we're preparing for the Farcaster Meetup on
November 4th, with more than 100 confirmed attendees.

In Brazil, NFT.Rio is just around the corner, and we can't wait to show what
we've got. Our partnership with gotas.social is integrating tokens into our
events and engaging our fans, and we're also planning with a new product
manufacturer in Brazil to expand our production. More updates soon—the momentum
is building! 🍻

Prop currently stands at 102 votes for and 11 against with a few hours left so
it looks like the prop will be passing. Thank you everyone for the vote of
confidence to run this experiment.

I'd like to address some concerns / feedback provided in the vwrs:

* Ideally, new nouners would be able to select their own Nouns from the
treasury but we don't yet have that tooling. If the experiment is successful,
it would make sense to double down on this direction. For now, the tools
available are more than enough to get started.
* Guaranteeing that a new nouner doesn't immediately sell their Noun or go
absent is not possible but it is true that their reputation is on the line as
these rounds aim to drive a lot of attention. Similar to the point above, if
the experiment is successful, we could explore new tooling as a way to make
sure the new nouners get a good feel for playing Nouns by using requiring
some criteria for getting full ownership of the Noun.
* The metrics I will follow to determine success or failure will be vwrs + new
props by new Nouners.
* This is not a way to retroactively reward people for past contributions. This
is an attempt to grow the network.

gm and happy halloween !

onnnnnnnnnion (I never know how many n's there are) and I just met to discuss
our first steps for Propdates 2.0. The first step is to migrate the contracts to
be upgradable, enabling faster future contract-level improvements. We'll also be
adding a "Super Admin", which will be an address controlled by a multi-sig that
can transfer admin privileges in case a proposer is having a hard time (or
simply can't) transfer the role to a wallet that can regularly post updates. For
example if the initial proposer is no longer active in Nouns, or is controlled
by a wallet that is no longer accessible, this will allow Proposals to be
recoverable.

On the front-end side, I'll be working on creating a better markdown editor in

Just had our first meeting with The Line post proposal execution. We went over
the feedback we've gotten so far on the story, and talked through timelines and
check in cadence.

We aligned on three adjustments to the script:

1. Ensuring that Nouns plays an important supportive role in the story. (This
was always the plan, but was not clear enough in the script draft)
2. Reframing the Protocol Guild from Heroes to Stewards, which feels more in
line with their lived experience.
3. Ensuring that we tell a story that could work as a celebration of EIP-4844,
should the timings align, but also one that stands on its own should the
timing not work.

As for next steps, we'll be reviewing the contract, signing, and releasing the
first milestone payment upon alignment on the final details there.

UPDATE – OCTOBER 24, 2023

Hi hi! The NOUNS–HALO KEYCHAIN circuit board is now in production!

x700 units are in the process of being manufactured – we're just rounding the
final components from suppliers and I will receive the first 5 samples in
approximately 20-25 days. Once I've cleared the samples, then the remaining
units should be all made within 2 weeks!

A little refresher in re to the quantity:

* 600 units will be distributed:
* 500 available for purchase
* 50 supplied to the DAO
* 50 for gifting, raffles, etc. – marketing purposes
* an extra 100 units are manufactured for quality check and any additional
quantities that pass it will be available for purchase

ENCLOSURE

The enclosure is nearly complete, I'm waiting for the battery samples to arrive
in order to make sure it all fits in. In the meantime, I'm testing the material
and options for the clear resin and its opacity levels.

I've also sourced manufacturers to produce the enclosures using injection
moulding so that will be all ready to go soon!

FIRMWARE

The code has been finalized and tested, everything is working perfectly! I've
uploaded it on github in the meantime, but it will be available on the website

🔥 The Burn: audit funding

TLDR: we're exploring additional protocol changes to better curb auction arb.

The burn code has recently been reviewed by soli, and the fixes won't take long.
However, that's not our main focus these days.

The burn works in cycles that provide predictability, e.g. we can decide to burn
every 100 Nouns. At the same time roughly 30 Nouns are required to initiate a
fork given current adjusted supply and fork threshold. Assuming such parameters,
arbers can safely perform up to 3 rounds of forking without being impacted by
the burn. And after a burn occurs, they can continue to do so until the next
burn and so on.

A naive reaction to this problem is to configure fork threshold and burn cycle
such that we burn before there's a fork, e.g. raise fork threshold to require
just over 60 Nouns, and set the burn cycle at 60 Nouns, and there you have it.

While this is certainly a possibility, there is a natural tension:

* We want to keep for threshold low, for multiple reasons such as wanting the
fork to truly serve minority protection
* We want the burn cycle to be longer, to give the community sufficient time to
coordinate funding

We are therefore exploring other designs, such as:

* Requiring a minimum age for a Noun to be allowed to escrow towards a fork
* Initiating a burn before any fork

Since such ideas have the potential to impact the burn design, we think it best
to reach a decision before declaring the burn code to be final and submitting it
for an audit. It might also be best to expand the audit scope to include
whichever idea we land on, as they seem highly entangled, working together with
the burn to achieve the arb mitigation we're aiming for.

Important to restate: we want to significantly curb arb such that auctions are
once again onboarding new long term Nouns players.

What's next:

* We will publish a blog post detailing our thinking, and share it with the
community.
* We will ask for feedback and help making a decision.
* We will then share an updated scope and timeline.

Roko?

Roko is: • A Discord Bot that records all messages & notes any question. If
previously answered, Roko makes a thread & shares. Otherwise notes • One of the
first GPT powered Knowledge Graph creators; turning proposals into a brain • A
tool to take conversations from discord & the context from those proposals to
automatically create an auto-updating wiki that can store decisions, updates,
questions, & more for any proposal automatically

This was an ambitious goal and I’m so proud of what we built, I think it’s a
GREAT tool with a lot of potential that’s groundbreaking in many ways BUT I
failed to spend enough time talking to our customers, nouners.

If I had, I would have realized that it was more important to build a tool that
spread that info all over the place instead of storing it in one. This was one
of my biggest mistakes. That’s one thing I think many misunderstand about
@nounsdao, not only do you need to be building something cool; you need to
already have the audience to make sure enough people care that others buy in.

NounsAI?

NounsAI.wtf is:

• An AI powered picture, video, and audio creation tool • For pictures uses
custom diffusion model to create high fidelity Nounish art and to make it a
breeze to edit + restyle • Our audio-hub is a unique node-based interface
creators love, it turns words to grooves and makes it easy to break down a song
into individual tracks, drums, strings, • Video ties it all together, letting
you take an audio track, arrange images like a slideshow on the timeline, and
then let AI fill in the gaps creating a trippy audio-visual experience

It’s been incredible seeing the community empowered with this tool. We’ve had
hundreds of users pretty much every week since January with some content getting
hundreds of thousands of views. We minimized the requirements needed to run all
the code so I hope people get something out of it.

sure you select the 'SDXL-no-wrong' model in the drop down to get the best image
performance

Some thoughts on @nounsdao from a contributor POV:

• Onboarding required guidance, without awesome people like @punk4156 @noun22_
@anquetil and more I would never have been able to learn enough about Nouns to
put together a proposal and lobby for votes. If there were incentives for more
nouners with conviction on what should be built to go look talent it would be
positive because… • You need to CARE about SOMETHING. Someone helping you embark
on a fun and well compensated learning journey makes you care. People showing up
to meetings and asking questions makes you care. Bringing in investment, making
a good investment, and seeing a friend you made in this community do something
awesome all also make you care. But… • It is HARD to maintain attention and it
can get lonely. Often the people the hardest to reach are the ones you most want
to talk to. There’s so many things going on, attention drifts, and once lost, is
hard to get back. It’d be great if there was a periodic review with nouners
(monthly?) baked into longer projects to keep everyone aligned and excited.
Maybe add some stakes to it where if it’s going well a month can be added on to
the remaining few or one taken away recouping investment.

Ultimately, it was an awesome experience. That’s why we’ve been working through
our contract date of July and will keep #NounsAI up through the end of the year.
It’s also been tough and even though I’m proud of what we accomplished I can’t
help but feel like we failed in part. Maybe it’s all part of the experiment. One
that I’m grateful to have been a part of. I hope to forever be nounish, happy to
advise, share thoughts, and invest in something bigger than myself.

ADDRESSING THE FEEDBACK

During this proposal's voting period, we received valuable feedback that we
should be focused on finding our own "product-market fit" (PMF). Meaning that we
should find the right audience to focus on and create content that resonates
with this audience as well as solve for distribution, while proliferating Nouns
in a meanginful way.

We took this feedback to heart and shifted our strategy. We decided to focus on
developing content that will grow and resonate with a large audience other than
the existing Nouns core fans.

This means we dropped the idea of developing a nounish CC0 library, running our
own Prop House rounds, or continuing to tell stories of Nouns Proposals (except
for Nouns Esports). Instead focussed on testing different audiences and content
types in a series of pilots.

PILOTING

PILOTING: POTENTIAL NOUNERS

The first audience we chose to test was Potential Nouners. We reached out to as
many Noun owners as we could and surveyed them to try to understand what made
them tick and what attracted them to the DAO.

You can read the results here.

We tested reaching Potential Nouners by creating content for Ethereum & DAO
enthusiasts. We piloted 4 different ideas:

* Nouns DAO: The Game
* Let’s Play Nouns DAO: Gov Pools
* Fun Fork Explainer
* Serious Fork Explainer

These resonated very well and got a lot of engagement. Especially The Game,
which got relatively a lot of views and shares on Twitter. It has even been
cited as being directly responsible for bringing new people into the Nouns
ecosystem.

Even though the content was loved, we didn't think that it had strong enough PMF
–it didnt seem to reach and engage a lot of new people.

NOUNS ESPORTS

We took a break from piloting and produced a video about Nouns Esports. We knew
that there is a real need for a Nouns Esports explainer. An evergreen piece for
one of Nouns' strongest communities to facilitate their onboarding of new
members and to help explain to the esports world what Nouns is all about.

The video was very well received and got ~200K views overall on Twitter and has
another ~130K views on Reddit, and is being used on the Nouns Esports website as
their main onboarding tool.

PILOTING: FANS

After publishing the Nouns Esports video, we went back to trying to find PMF.

This time we focused on an audience we call "Fans". Which is a broad definition
for people who could fall in love with Nouns.

Here, we attempted to create content that generally would work well on social
media, and that it could be used as a gateway to Nouns.

We tested original content that we created, trying to embody what we consider to
be nounish:

* Noun Cosplay
* Gnars Fingerboarding
* Fingerboarding BTS #1
* Fingerboarding BTS #2
* Unboxing Things In The Style of The Thing We're Unboxing
* The Untold Story of the cups from Jurassic Park
* Behind The Scenes on "Jurassic Cups"
* Make todays Noun out of Post-it Notes
* 3 Artists

* Artist #1: How They Made It

* Artist #2: How They Made It

* Artist #3: How They Made It

We posted all of these videos on Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok and one
format showed signs of traction - "Three Artists".

We also noticed that the type of people engaging with this content and following
us are very specific: they are all artists, designers, and other creative types.
It was the most defined audience we'd ever seen engage with our content (outside
of the existing Nouns community)

The strong engagement with the content and the consistency of the audience were
indications that we have found PMF.

THREE ARTISTS

So we doubled down on the show and have since released 8 episodes with more on
the way.

The show quickly became popular on Instagram, with the top episode receiving
over 1 million organic views. We have released eight episodes so far, which have
received over 2 million views and brought us over 70,000 new followers.

Other signs of PMF include a very high engagement rate: our top episode got
140,000 likes (a 14% like/view ratio), and every episode receives hundreds of
comments, saves, and shares.

OUR AUDIENCE

The audience that the show is attracting is consistently identifiable as what we
call “The Creatives.” Our followers are designers, artists, creative directors,
filmmakers, animators, illustrators, and so on. We also have attracted some well
known brands in the creative sector, including Wacom and Artlist.

We see this as a chance to build a community outside the crypto bubble that is a
perfect fit for Nouns, a group of talented and inspired creative people.

MORE THAN GROWTH: A RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR AUDIENCE

By turning the camera back on ourselves we are making ourselves a tangible
representation of the Nounish values they can relate to – joyous, welcoming,
playful, creative, and collaborative.

As we share our inspiring culture (one completely in line with Nouns’ own
values) our audience will grow to love the show and the people on it. And in the
long term, as the connection between us and our audience deepens, we give
ourselves the best chance to galvanise them to engage with Nouns in a more
meaningful way.

MORE: OUR OG CONTENT LIVES ON

Since our last proposal we also released our Mucho Love video, the last of
Season 1.

Alot of our content continues to live on and get new life periodically,
including our nounish Rainbow Wallet video. Rainbow themselves and many others
(including Alexis Ohanian) posting and reposted it on Twitter.

Dustin Yellin shared & reshared our very first video again

And our long form explainer continues to be the go-to for people to dive deeper
on the concept of Nouns, as well as how to get funded.

NEXT STEPS

We're hyped about the future opportunity of building a nounish brand accross
Instagram and YouTube based on the success of "Three Artists". We have other
content in development, but in the short term our focus is to scale our channels
by refining and iterating on this core concept.

UPDATE – OCTOBER 12, 2023

Helloooo! Here's an update on the NOUNS–HALO KEYCHAIN !

I'm happy to say that we'll be reaching the end of this project soon in the next
few weeks – with the circuit board now complete, everything else will be moving
very quickly!

There were a few hiccups with the hardware which resulted in an extra 2
iterations being made, but the good news is that in those iterations – I was
able to upgrade the hardware whilst keeping the costs low / relatively the same.

For those who are curious, rather than using an ATTINY85 which requires a little
bit of a setup in order to program it, I've swapped it for Seeedstudio's XIAO
MCU which is a simple plug and code - making it a whole lot easier for tinkerers
to upload their own code. All testing of the components, code, charging,
switches, etc. have passed through with flying colours!

Also to note that the NOUNS–HALO KEYCHAIN will already come pre-programmed with
the animated lights as per the demo in prop.

The 600 circuit boards are just days away from being produced with a lead time
of approximately 30 days (as the manufacturers are currently sourcing all the
components).

The enclosure is not far off from being complete, I'm finalizing the material
and will be sharing images of the prototype with a new update here / on twitter
/ warpcast.

The website is going to be hosted on nouns.engineering/ – the design is pretty
much wrapped up and once I've gotten the product / campaigns shots up, it'll be
ready to go live!

Finally, we have the fish can packaging. The design is in progress, and I would
like to ask if exploring the option of substituting the sardine cans for round
tuna cans would be possible? In terms of sealing it in this first run of 600
units - it seems to facilitate the speed of production and assembly with a lot
of the manufacturers I have liased with.

CONTENT:

pNouns DAOstarted as a subDAO capable of proposing to Nouns. After successfully
winning the bids for Nouns #553 and #556 in December 2022, the first proposal
"NogglesJackTokyo" was realized. The event took place on May 20th and 21th,
2023, at the 57th Design Festa at Tokyo Big Sight. Numerous participants and
volunteers collaborated to ensure its success. Main exhibits included prototypes
of pNounsNoggles, paper Noggles, a costume of Noun553, and Noggles-shaped
benches. Distributed items comprised stickers, posters, Noggles keyholders, wall
monuments, original T-shirts, and other merchandise. For pre-event PR, both
Twitter and the smartphone app NogglesJackTokyo were utilized. The primary
objective of the event was a commemorative photo session with Noggles. 200
Polaroid films and smartphones were used, and all were gifted to the attendees.
Over 500 paper Noggles were distributed, and many attendees at the Design Festa
booth wore noticeable Noggles, bringing smiles to many faces.

CONCLUSION:

After 3 months of preparation, the 2-day event concluded successfully. We extend
our gratitude to NounsDAO for covering the costs of the event participation fee,
interior decorations, and the production of original merchandise.

MUCHO LOVE UPDATE #2

* Art with STAINED and CCCPapeleria: We successfully partnered with Stained and
CCCPapeleria, leading 300 children into an artistic venture. Using a
straightforward guide, we supplied them with essential tools and encouraged
them to unleash their creativity. This event has set a promising tone,
hinting at more such initiatives in the future.
* Medical Health Mission, October 27-29th: Our preparation is on track. Several
pharmaceutical companies, local pharmacies, and even Gatorade have come
forward to offer support. Our focus? To provide sustainable health assistance
and solutions to the chosen community.
* Harvard Doctors and Nouns: An intriguing development to share - a few doctors
from Harvard have shown keen interest in Nouns. Their appreciation for our
open-source approach, transparency, and achievements sparked this interest.
I'll be meeting them to delve deeper into potential collaborations.
* Stained's Upcoming Collection: Inspired by the children's artwork, Stained is
in the midst of crafting a unique collection. Once it's live, I'll share
links for those interested. Part of the proceeds will be channeled back to
fund artistic endeavors for the orphanage's creative activities.
* Plans for November: Collaborative efforts are underway with PedidosYa. We're
aligning on suitable dates. Additionally, we've initiated talks with Save the
Children, aiming for a fruitful partnership.

Mogu - a nounish explorer

I'm very excited to officially wrap up my work on Mogu, and I thought I'd
reflect on it a bit and share what I did during the three months. I've been
contributing to Nouns for a year but this proposal was the most important to my
personal journey.

I built a lot of Mogu before submitting the proposal, but candidly I struggled
to get momentum again after it passed. I really thought I could turn Mogu into a
legitimate Etherscan competitor and considered getting more funding to grow it.
I spent time on things like adding non-Nouns transactions to Mogu, and
considered running my own node to get all Ethereum data more easily (this was my
first time going deep on this topic). It was a real "I don't know what I don't
know" moment.

I eventually realized that the most niche parts of Mogu, particularly the Board,
got the most usage. It was an important realization - all the extra stuff I
thought the crypto masses wanted and could make a cool product (a better block
explorer), was quite different from what this small group of passionate people
actually needed. So I continued working on improving the board and actually
spent some time reducing features and improving the architecture of my data
which was a huge mess. I hadn't gone this deep on any project before, so I found
myself learning a lot, and having to rewrite a lot of code.

In early September, I fell more in love with the process of coding. I came
across Krel's requests.wtf, which lead me to Wilson's Propdates contract -- I
felt like I'd struck gold! I was able to set up my first subgraph with Goldsky
surprisingly fast, and build a front-end that allowed people to claim admin
roles and post updates. Rapidly, I was able to synthesize months of learning
from Mogu and other projects into a much more polished v0. This was super
exciting for me, and pushed me to keep trying new things with it.

For the month of September, I largely focused on one-off pages for Mogu
(mentioned in a previous propdate) which got good traction, but tapered off.
Then I worked more and more on Propdates, which felt like it added more value to
the DAO than any marginal improvements to Mogu.

As Propdates got more traction, it became clear to me that there's something
special about it as a new Nouns primitive. While there may be a need for a
version of Mogu in the future, I don't plan to add new features to it
immediately.

To wrap up, a few related and unrelated things I learned from Mogu:

* It's hard to build a sticky read-only site: Etherscan is really the
exception, not the rule. If someone is coming to your site to accomplish
something very specific, it's much easier to get them engaged (i.e. playing
around with the Board or posting on Propdates)
* Iteration is tough: after I built the first version, it was tough to slowly
improve the product and get feedback from just a small handful of people.
Even features I had previously planned intuitively felt like they wouldn't
quite move the needle, and working independently, it was a bit demoralizing.
* Nouns is still small but passionate: even on its biggest days, Mogu only got
a few hundred visitors, largely from Twitter posts. The ceiling of DAUs/WAUs
is hard in this crypto landscape, compared to the latest AI apps making
hundreds of thousands of dollars a week. But, passion and product stickiness
will be much higher for the right apps.

But most importantly, I learned that I want to keep building things for the DAO.
I want to keep learning, coding, trying new things, and having fun. Just as I
thought I might burn out, the infinite game of Nouns has pulled me in yet again
:-)

Been in the industry for the last 15 years, Ray is no stranger to some of the

In Rise of Blus - Ray plays the role of Gi’s dad, Go. A timid personality, Go
was a dreamer but life has beaten him down. He is a Rastafarian at heart but

MUCHO LOVE UPDATES

Hello everyone, it's been an interesting 2 months since the prop passed. I am
here to share updates on the course and modus operandi Mucho Love is adapting.

SOME REFLECTIONS:

* Mucho Love thrives on an open-collaborative format, outlining all activities
of the year at once only mirrors the thoughts & hopes the team had at that
juncture.
* At its core, Mucho Love is an event & marketing platform. While we host
events surrounding public goods and social impact, our forte is motivating
people to act and showcasing our brilliant ideas.
* Mucho Love isn’t tailored for recurring content; it flourishes as a
project-centric platform.
* Virality is replicable. The instances where we've invested time in sparking
virality, it worked perfectly. Our virality stems from CTAs (Call-to-Action)
type posts. The caveat is, it can lead to audience fatigue if churned out too
frequently.

THE JOURNEY OVER THE PAST 2 MONTHS:

Post-proposal, we’ve reached out to various businesses and brands to lay the
foundation for Mucho Love's self-sustainability by mid-2024. The feedback has
been encouraging; brands find our approach refreshing and distinct. The only
hiccup so far has been the time it takes for brands to hop on board and approve
budgets. This exact reason has steered our self-sustainability aim towards the
specified timeline.

RECENT MILESTONE:

* We've made our first event, where 300 orphans were given a white tshirt to
create their own masterpieces. This endeavor was conceived to embody the
equation success = talent + opportunity. What if we could multiply
opportunities to unearth hidden talents? Perhaps the finest painter never had
the chance to hold a brush, the most adept cinematographer never got hold of
a camera, and the born actor never found a stage. This is the vacuum created
by a dearth of opportunity. That drove us to deliver these chances to these
kids, with Nouns as the conduit.
* Our collaboration was with Stained, a brand rooted in DR/MIA
(https://www.instagram.com/stainedconcept/), and CCC an art-materials
retailer (https://www.instagram.com/papeleriaccc/).
* We're in the works of unveiling a collection inspired by the children's
artworks. Over the upcoming 10 days or so, I’ll be sharing snippets &
visuals from this heartfelt activity.
* The collection will raise funds for the Orphanage and its members in
order to further support it.

* We've established a collaboration with doctors from Harvard to carry out our
Medical Mission event in Matagorda, Bani, DR. We have successfully partnered
with one of them to shape this initiative into a
sustainable-volunteer-healthcare approach. The ongoing plan is to continue
providing medical support to this community, while also studying the impact
of our medical missions on their collective health. This endeavor could
potentially evolve into its own substantial vertical, given its sustainable
and holistic approach to healthcare, creating a pathway to scale and propel
it further.

* For this activity, we successfully reached out to the Health Manager in
Bani, and arranged to carry out the event at Matagorda's Primary Care
Center.
* The manager also signaled that if we produced good results, he would like
us to scale to other communities in the DR.
* We secured sponsorship from pharmacies to provide treatments for the
community members, and we're executing this initiative over a three-day
span. The event is set to take place from the 27th to the 29th of October.

* We've connected with the largest delivery app in Latin America, PedidosYa
(https://www.instagram.com/pedidosya.do/?hl=es), to bring to life a project
close to our hearts. We aim to roll this out by the end of November, and the
conversations are already underway. The idea is to simplify and enable a free
pathway for people to donate clothing in good condition that they no longer
wear, making it possible to extend these items to those in need across the
country. Various studies highlight that around 80% of our wardrobe seldom
sees the light of day.

* Teaming up with PedidosYa is part of our strategy to magnify the impact of
this initiative. To boost its visibility further, we're also collaborating
with a rising content creator and influencer, Jessica Judith
(https://www.instagram.com/jess.judith/?hl=es), who boasts a highly engaged
audience. This partnership aims to maximize exposure for this event,
amplifying the reach and, in turn, the potential donations.

THE INDICATORS SO FAR:

* Mucho Love resonates as an event platform. An event platform with a notable
hook. ⌐◨-◨ as the emblem of everything we undertake, and a significant % of
profits being channeled to charity with every endeavor. This constructs a
unique, self-perpetuating cycle.

* Once an event concludes, profits are allocated to organizations we wish to
collaborate with, thereby the funds are utilized WITH Mucho Love, enabling
us to orchestrate unprecedented events in the DR while continuing with the
kind of social impact initiatives we’ve always pursued in tandem with other
organizations.

* The two leading event businesses in the DR have extended an invitation for
partnership to facilitate any scale of mass event. A spectrum of 500-5000
attendees is within our scope, and fortuitously one of my business-partners
has an extensive network concerning all requisites for events.

* This is a novel approach with Nouns. We hold a belief that a impactful
approach to culture creation and dissemination lies in these events.
* Visualize attending a Music Festival where all beloved local artists are
performing, top-notch restaurants are catering, and a whopping 50% of
everything you spend is directed towards charity.
* It's a proposition filled with value. We aim to feature a digital board
displaying the live count of funds raised for charity during the event,
with the culmination of the event marking the presentation and distribution
of these funds to our selected charities.

I have immense confidence in this avenue with Mucho Love. Is it a deviation from
what it was? Sort of. Is it an improvement? It's subjective. However, this is
the iteration of Mucho Love that excites me and my team the most and it is HOW I
WISH to unveil to the world the authentic potential of the ⌐◨-◨.

Even though Proposal 323 was defeated, we've continued to build the Public Good
brand and expand our beer production globally. Since then, the beer has been
produced in Portugal and is set to launch at a Polygon event in Lisbon. We've
received 76 reviews on UNTAPPD, a popular beer review platform, with an average
rating of 3.94 out of 5 stars. We've also participated in the Gnarsversary
celebration in Rio, launched our module in the Voidge Metaverse, and were
featured in the Nounishpunk game. Now we're back onchain (Proposal 378) and
incredibly excited to take the beer global, further develop the Public Good

This was a fun proposal to work on and I had the pleasure of implementing a
contract written by 9999 after finding a limitation within the setup of the
transaction.

The result was a new contract that can be used to set allowances via proposal on
the nounsvision NFTs held by the treasury. Approved external wallets can then
send them direct from the treasury (within their allowance), either to other
recipients or to their own wallets.

The 150 requested were distributed to the 3 communities/teams mentioned in the
proposal (Esports, Gnars and The Noun Square), where they are still being
utilised and/or carefully distributed in multiple ways.

I tried something a little different last week. I created three pages on Mogu to
display information for one-off purposes:

* Catalog - a nice visualization of the Nouns returned to the DAO treasury
during the fork
* Fork Tracker - tracking the fork as it happened. This attracted several
hundreds of views and got linked in Metaversal
* Zero Votes - displaying feedback and votes given with 0 Nouns, highlighting
thoughtful community members worthy of delegation

Another small improvement - transaction descriptions now link directly to
relevant props and nouns!

I'm open to any feature requests around Mogu as we approach the deadline! Next
week, I'm hoping to improve filtering and tabs. Then I'll work on various
quality of life improvements. As the Nouns conversation and "meta" evolves, I'd
like Mogu to evolve with it.

High-level things that are happening at the moment:

* yuwil continues to ideate through the draft of the episode internally and we
are looking at finishing it up by end of the month. We will be sharing a more
rough draft of this fairly soon. The gist in essence expands into more
neighborhoods as we see Gi getting introduced to new acquaintances and
friends!

* We meet overall weekly on the story discussions while the production team
continues to meet more often. We are currently in the process of concept art
creation for some of the core new characters for the episode. We will be
sharing more on the new Characters concept art in the coming weeks.

small crazy world of Nountown. the short-film was released that you can watch

Prop 237 was released the short film as a droposal open edition

We have implemented Propdates events in Nerman.js
https://github.com/JoeCars/Nerman/pull/150

And we added those events to Discord, as well as automatically post them to the
correct prop thread in Nouns DAO proposal forums. If all goes well, this update
should echo across the Nouniverse.

Proposal #182: AR Filters Completed

We have successfully completed 50 Noun Head filters and published them on
Snapchat, Instagram/Facebook, and TikTok. These filters have collectively
generated 2 million views as of today, with the following breakdown:

* Snapchat: 1.02 million plays, 15,000 shares, and 3,000 favorites.
* TikTok: 700,000 plays. We are currently ranked in the top 5% of effect
creators, and most of our filters are in the top 10%.
* Instagram/Facebook: 280,000 plays and 2,000 shares.

We will follow up by releasing the animated 3D source files (FBX) as part of a
www.3Dnouns.com update.

Nerman Update

We have implemented an automated forum channel in Discord for discussing Nouns
DAO proposals. Nerman will create threads for new Nouns DAO props, post prop
votes, status changes, and governance pool bids in the appropriate channels.

Currently live in NCD, holler if you want Nouns DAO proposal forums in other
discords.

Hey there! Testing out Propdates.

I've shipped a variety of improvements to Mogu in the past few months, most
recently upgrading to a subgraph to improve performance, adding custom wallet
labels, adding V3 events (feedback and candidate proposals), adding previews,
and upgrading the Prop Board's performance!
