ABOUT THE EVENT

Join us at the Junior Carnival Parade, held at the Malvern Community Centre.
Witness young masqueraders as they march in vibrant Caribbean costumes along
McLevin Avenue and Neilson Road, culminating at Junior Carnival Central in
Neilson Park. This event is free for all spectators, celebrating the future of
the Carnival and its young participants!

The Junior Carnival Parade invites everyone to support the future of the
Carnival by marching along Neilson Road with our junior masqueraders. This
annual parade offers children the chance to celebrate and share Caribbean
culture with their community.

Our young masqueraders will dance through the streets in brightly colored
costumes, showcasing a series of band leaders competing with their elaborate
designs. The Junior Carnival and Family Day event provides the Malvern community
an opportunity to experience cultural presentations from young performers. Join
us for a day filled with fun and music.

Come out and see the future of Carnival! Support young producers, performers,
and presenters as they make their mark on the festival. Brought to you by the
Festival Management Committee of the Toronto Caribbean Carnival, the Junior
Carnival Parade welcomes all to march along Neilson Road in support of the
Carnival’s future.Starting at the Malvern Community Centre, junior masqueraders
will parade in colorful Caribbean costumes along McLevin Avenue and Neilson
Road, heading towards Junior Carnival Central at Neilson Park. “Kiddies for Mas”
features approximately 2,000 junior masqueraders, ranging from toddlers to
teens, many of whom may go on to participate in the main Toronto Caribbean
Carnival parade. Twelve junior bands will present their themes and compete for
the Junior Band of the Year title.

 

This family-friendly event also includes children’s amusement activities, music,
a marketplace with food vendors, arts and craft vendors, and more. Don’t miss
this vibrant celebration of Caribbean culture and community!
