OUR FOCUS IS BEING A FAMILY COMMITTED TO…


PRAISING

As people of God, we seek to praise Him not just with our words and worship, but
with our lives. Knowing everything the Father has done for us through His
Creation, through the sacrifice of His Son, to redeem us for our sins, how can
we not praise His Name? Through study of His inspired word we seek to praise Him
in how we live in this world, letting Him guide our steps and light the path
before us. Praise God for His guidence and patience.

“PRAISE THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD. SING PRAISES TO HIS NAME. FOR IT IS LOVELY”
PSALM 135:3

 


PARTICIPATING

We are also a family that seeks to work together to bring glory to God.
Side-by-side we seek to accomplish the work of the Church in the world -
building each other up, helping each other mature in Christ and reaching others
with the gospel.  Bear Valley is an active and effective congregation. From
Bible classes to annual youth camps, from helping each other in difficult times
by bringing meals to those in need, to serving during worship services, there
are places for you to get involved in the work here as well.

“AND LET US CONSIDER HOW TO STIMULATE ONE ANOTHER TO LOVE AND GOOD DEEDS”
HEBREWS 10:24

 
 


PROCLAIMING

Through our personal lives and efforts, our mission works, and through our Bible
Institute that trains preachers, proclaiming the greatness of God to people
around us is a priority at Bear Valley. The world needs to hear the saving
message of the gospel and as His people He has tasked us with taking it to them
(Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15). We are involved in mission efforts all over the
globe, but that doesn’t mean we forget about our neighbors. As a congregation,
we seek to help people come to know the truth of God’s word, and show how it can
change not only our lives, but our eternity.

“LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE BEFORE MEN IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY MAY SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS
AND GLORIFY YOUR FATHER”
MATTHEW 5:16
