As twilight falls, join our expert guides for an eerie journey through Old Fort
Niagara's historic grounds, illuminated only by the flickering glow of lantern
light. Hear chilling tales of restless spirits, mysterious occurrences, and the
darker moments of the Fort's storied past. From haunted barracks to ghostly
apparitions, you'll delve into the legends and lore that have shrouded this
iconic landmark for centuries. This unique experience offers a spine-tingling
glimpse into the supernatural side of Old Fort Niagara, making it a must for
history buffs and ghost enthusiasts alike.
TOUR SCHEDULE:
Five tours available per night:
* 7:00 PM
* 7:30 PM
* 8:00 PM
* 8:30 PM
* 9:00 PM
Each tour lasts approximately 1 hour
30 tickets are available per tour on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets must be purchased in advance. Ticket sales close at 4 PM on the day of
the tour.
Tours will proceed rain or shine. In the event that a tour is canceled, an email
will be sent out to ticket holders
Suitable for ages 10 and up.
TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERRABLE
No discounts are valid for this event.

What should I bring to the tour?
We recommend dressing for the weather and wearing comfortable shoes, as the tour
involves walking around the fort’s historic grounds. You may also want to bring
a small flashlight.
Can I take photos during the tour?
Yes, photography is allowed, but please be mindful of other participants and the
dark setting.
Where do the tours start?
Tours begin at the Old Fort Niagara Visitor Center, across the parking lot from
the lighthouse. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour
time to check-in.
Is the tour accessible for people with mobility issues?
The tour involves walking on uneven surfaces and may not be fully accessible for
those with mobility issues. Please contact us in advance to discuss any specific
needs.
Will there be any special effects or actors on the tour?
The Lantern and Lore Tours focus on storytelling and the natural ambiance of the
Fort at night, lit by lanterns carried by the tour group. No special effects or
actors are involved in the tour.
Are tickets refundable?
Please note that, like all Old Fort Niagara fundraising events, admission
tickets are non-refundable, but every purchase helps support the Fort's mission
and programs.
