SCORCHING TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE DEEP SOUTH; STRONG STORMS IMPACTING ALASKA

A prolonged period of hot temperatures remains on tap for the southern U.S over
the next few days. In some areas, high temperatures are forecast to climb into
the triple digits. A series of storms will bring strong winds and coastal
impacts including rip currents to portions of interior Alaska and along the
western Coast. Meanwhile, elevated fire weather conditions will be possible in
