WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD THE APP?

Where the app can be downloaded depends on your mobile device.

For android users the app can be found in de Google Play Store:

DO I NEED TO PAY TO DOWNLOAD THE APP?

No, the app is completely free to use and try out. After registration you'll get
a starting amount of V-Coins (in-app currency) to get you started.

HOW DO I RECORD MY SPORT ACTIVITIES IN THE APP?

In the app we have a lot of sport events that we call Challenges and editions.
Challenges and Editions exists of a multitude of different excersises you can
do, which we like to call checkpoints. With every checkpoint (i.e. running and
cycling) it is possible to record your progress with GPS, import your Strava
sessions with our in-app Strava connection or put in your activities manually.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

After selecting your challenge, you will start on your journey to conquer the
challenge you set for yourself. Your challenge will be divided in multiple
checkpoints, some more or less then others. You will be tasked to fulfill these
checkpoints. In the checkpoint is listed what kind of exercise needs to be done
and the amount of repitions, distance or duration. By completing these
checkpoints you make advancements through your challenge, until you conquer the
challenge. You will be rewarded for completing checkpoints with Viking points
with which you can advance to the next level. In some cases you will also
receive medal points with which you can earn your Medals for Life.

THE PROGRESSION OF MY ACTIVITY IS NOT CORRECT, WHAT NOW?

Incorrect statistics can be due to a weak GPS signal, battery saving mode
(affects GPS), etc. The way to solve this is to enter your progression manually.

WHAT LANGUAGES DOES STRONG VIKING – SPORTS APP SUPPORT?

The Strong Viking - Sports App supports Dutch, English and the German language.
For now the app takes on the language of the device it is installed on. If you
choose the dutch language settings on your phone the Sports App will
automatically take on the dutch language.

WHAT ARE V-COINS?

V-Coins is the virtual currency used in the app to purchase challenges and
editions. Your V-Coin balance will remain unchanged if you do not spend them or
decide to buy more. There is no expiration date for your V-coins.

CAN I VIEW MY MEDALS IN THE APP?

Your Medals for Life collection is displayed in the app. You can view the amount
of medal points you have earned. Also fill in additional details to receive your
Medals for Life at home.

HOW CAN I FIND MY FRIENDS IN THE APP?

You can easily find your friends through our 'find friends' function. Search by
first name, surname and from your phone contacts. It is also possible to send
friends an invite through various channels.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CHALLENGE AND AN EDITION?

A challenge can be a short- or long-term goal that you are free to progress in
whenever you like. With an edition, you are bound to a certain time to compete
in. We like to think of challenges as training tools and editions as a way of
testing yourself.

WHAT CAN I EARN BY CONQUERING CHALLENGES / EDITIONS?

You will be rewarded for completing checkpoints with Viking points with which
you can advance to the next level. In some cases, you will also receive medal
points that you can use to earn your Medals for Life.

I HAVE EARNED A MEDAL, ARE THEY SENT TO ME AT HOME?

Your earned medals and medal pieces will be sent to you within 2 weeks, as soon
as you have filled in the additional information we need from you.
