UFT WEB STANDARDS: HOME

UFT Web Sites, Web Applications, email and other digital media should have the
same or similar look & feel. The differences between a web site and a web
application are as follows:


WEB APPLICATIONS

 * A web application is an application that’s accessed through a web browser.
 * A web application performs tasks on behalf of the user


WEBSITES

 * A website is a series of pages or documents that may embed media (images,
   video, etc) that’s accessed through a web browser over the internet.
 * Web sites contain information

These Application Interface Standards are based on commonly accepted heuristic
guidelines. The look & feel standards are sourced directly from the official UFT
Website.

When designing and creating any website or application, care must be taken to
ensure maximum usability and adherence to best practices.

Web applications are often embedded within or included as an extension of
websites. In these cases, effort should be made to follow the standards
established within that particular site. The developer will have to use common
sense and good judgment to decide what is most appropriate and applicable.
