ARTIFICE - ART EXHIBITION AND DEMONSTRATION – CAMPAIGN FOR ENVIRONMENTAL
CONSCIOUSNESS
The talented can join the program and draw/paint and respond for the global
environment. The selected student shall get membership in the Artifice club, a
certificate of appreciation and a chance to draw or create your art on the day.
Selected will be exhibited in the upcoming art gallery of the college.
INAUGURATION OF AN AGRICULTURAL CLUB 'GRENIUS'
As part of world environment day celebration, PG Department of Commerce and
Management Studies decided to start an agricultural club 'Grenius' for
organic farming .The inauguration of the club will be conducted by Prof. Dr.A

NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY CELEBRATION
On December 21,2023,the Mathematics Departmenthosted a lively celebration in
honor of National Mathematics Day,dedicated to the memory of Srinivasa
Ramanujan.The event held in the MS12 hall,featured a quiz competition and a
filmshow. Students, representing various departments,participated in the quiz
competition,showcasing their mathematical skills. The film show provided a
captivating insight into the life and contributions of Srinivasa Ramanujan
TWO DAY NATIONAL SEMINAR ON CURRENT LITERARY TRENDS IN ENGLISH
Two day National Seminar on "Current Literary Trends in English" was
jointly organized by the PG & Research Department of English, MES Asmabi
College, P. Vemballur, and the Kerala State Council of Higher Education,
Thiruvananthapuram on December 19th and 20th 2023. On the first day after
the inaugural ceremony, two plenary sessions and five parallel paper
presentation sessions were there. Dr. Kalyani Vallath, Managing
Director, Vallath Educational Private Limited, Thiruvananthapuram, inaugurated
the seminar. Dr. A Biju, Principal, Dr. Sheena P A, Dr. Reena Mohamed Vice
Principal, Dr. K P Sumedhan, Director of Self Financing Courses, Dr. K H
AmithaBachan, NAAC Coordinator Dr. Amitha P. Mani, Seminar Convenor and Dr.
Sanand Sadanandan, Staff Secretary spoke during the inaugural ceremony.
ASSOCIATION INAGURATION
The Mathematics Association organized a compelling event on December 18, 2023,
at Seminar Hall, featuring an insightful session by PKM Anas, a renowned career
and soft skill developer. The event commenced at 10:00 AM with a warm welcome
speech by Amrutha, faculty member from the Department of Mathematics. Keerthana
S V, the Head of the Department of Statistics, delivered a presidential address,
emphasizing the importance of such events in fostering academic growth and
professional development within the mathematics community.

ABOUT THE MES ASMABI COLLEGE
M.E.S Asmabi College, a premier educational institution managed by the Muslim
Educational Society (Regd.) Calicut, owes its existence to the remarkable
foresight and unremitting zeal of the late Dr. P.K.Abdul Gafoor, the late P.K.
Abdulla and late Dr. A.K Siddiq Karikulam Azhikode.
Started in the year 1968 at P. Vemballur, Kodungallur, a remote coastal backward
village in the S N Puram Panchayath of Thrissur District with the main objective
of uplifting the educationally backward community especially muslims of the area
who had been denied of the right to education for generations. The college now
caters to the needs of the students throughout Kerala and Lakshadweep , cutting
across the barriers of class, caste, creed and religion. Hajee Ismail Essa Sait
of Cochin initially donated the land and the building and the college was named
after his mother Asmabi.
