SAAS ACCOUNT, REFERENCE NUMBER AND LEARNER ID


SAAS REFERENCE NUMBER

You can find your eight-digit SAAS Student Reference Number by logging into your
SAAS Account or by checking any previous correspondence, you have received from
us.

If you've previously applied for full-time funding, you'll have a SAAS reference
number.


SAAS LEARNER ID FOR PART-TIME STUDENTS

If you've applied for the Part-time Fee Grant (PTFG), you will have a Learner
ID, also known as a PTFG Reference Number.

It's a 10-digit number, starting with 2347, followed by another six digits. 



When registering a new account, you can either associate a Student Reference
Number or PTFG Reference Number. Please ensure you associate the right one when
creating a new account.




LOGIN ISSUES

If you have a SAAS Account but have not applied for funding since 2016-17 or
earlier, then you will need to register a new online SAAS Account.

To do this, visit SAAS Account and click the 'Registration Page' link underneath
the login section. 

Once you've confirmed your email address and password, answer 'Yes' when asked
'Have you applied to SAAS before?'. Following this, you'll be prompted to enter
your reference number. 

When you've completed the registration, you should be able to start a new
application. 


RESETTING YOUR SAAS ACCOUNT PASSWORD

To reset your SAAS Account password:

 1. Visit SAAS Account and click 'Forgotten your password'.
 2. Enter your email address, click Submit.
 3. You'll receive an email with a reset password link. Check your spam if this
    doesn't come through within 15 minutes.
    
    During busy periods, it may take time for our system to recognise your
    password reset link. Allow at least 15 minutes before trying again.
     
 4. Enter your security answer. This must be exactly as your created it and is
    case-sensitive.
 5. Create a new password, click Submit.

> If you're using saved passwords on your device, make sure you update this
> after changing your password.
