One of the more refreshing aspects to Sucka is how candid it is about being
politically incorrect, which has always been the Wayans Way. (A more recent and
superior example of this homage would be 2009’s tremendous Black
Dynamite, too-stupid third act notwithstanding.) Like the pitfalls of nearly
every other comedy, not every joke in Sucka lands, and there’s a certain amount
of stupidity that equates to more groans than laughs, but there’s also some
legitimately funny stuff going on here, and that feels really weird to say,
considering this is a Wayans vehicle. However, unlike the too-serious
Expendables, I’m Gonna Git You Sucka relied on knowing and silly comedy that
resurrected the various tropes of the blaxsploitation movement in a way that
both honored and lovingly mocked the shortlived genre.

In 1988, however, eldest Wayans sibling Keenen introduced his penchant for
parody in the little seen I’m Gonna Git You Sucka, a film that predates The
Expendables by twenty years, but which boasts the same concept: filling out a
cast of icons from a specific genre and having them all team up for the very
first time.

Leaning heavily on broad and brainless comedies that skewer black culture, their
brand still somehow manages to make ludicrous profits, and so, naturally, why
bother trying when they’ve proven they don’t really have to? Since 2002’s Scary
Movie, which if you wanted to split hairs could be considered the last thing
they made that had anything going for it whatsoever, they have relied on
terribly gimmicky concepts that even Eddie Murphy abandoned after a while (I bet
you $1 you totally forgot about Littleman) or lazy, phoned-in parodies that send
up the last 2-3 years’ worth of pop-culture juggernaut titles. It would be safe
to say that beyond Marlon Wayans’ atypical and excellent performance in the
gun-wrenching Requiem for a Dream, the Wayans siblings haven’t contributed too
much artistry to the film medium. Say the name “Wayans” around any
self-respecting film fan and the eye-rolls are sure to come. Featuring a
hilarious cast that includes Ja’net DuBois, Dawnn Lewis, Kadeem Hardison, Damon
Wayans, Clu Gulager, Kim Wayans, John Witherspoon, David Alan Grier, and
Clarence Williams III – I’m Gonna Git You Sucka is a perfect mixture of
nostalgia, silliness and unpredictable humor. Big (John Vernon), and sets off to
enlist an army of original gangstas: John Slade (Casey), Hammer (Hayes), Slammer
(Brown), Flyguy (Fargas) and Kung Fu Joe (Smith). Jack Spade (Wayans), a
decorated war hero returns to the ghetto finding his hometown in shambles and
his brother dead… Spade swears revenge against the local kingpin, Mr. Oh, yes,
whitey is very tricky.”Ī hilarious, ultra slick soul cinema comedy that blows

Importantly, we did not remove this armor to deal with duping or cheating issues
– and in fact the legendary armor that people obtained before the patch is now
less powerful than the epic armor you can get from synthesis. We also want
legendary armor to be truly difficult to obtain – prior to the patch, armor was
obtainable by just grinding public events forever, but wasn’t really a challenge
to get – just took time. Our goal is to re-introduce legendary armor at a later
date, with cool new effects, art, and modifiers, so that they feel truly
powerful and one of a kind. Current legendary armor does not have any
interesting effects/modifiers, or looks, so it doesn’t live up to what we want
“legendary” armor to feel like. With legendaries, the goal was to introduce a
way to grind for epic gear that involves challenging team content, and introduce
the new modifiers that are actually interesting. The problem is that we actually
had to stop adding features several weeks before launch, as an external
constraint, so much of the tweaks on our development build couldn’t make it in.

Quite honestly, the intent was always to have a tier of epic gear before
legendaries were obtainable – and the gear we released today is the original
intent and balance we had wanted to achieve before launch. Legendary gear was
nerfed, and the epic armor as a result is now the most powerful armor in the
game.These materials are needed to synthesize the new armor sets. Legendary
armor sets in the Nexus district synthesis stations were replaced with purple
gear, and two new end game materials were introduced.End Game Item Grind –
Legendaries Removed from Rotation and replaced with epic (purple) gear. However,
there were also a few somewhat controversial changes which I’m going to do my
best here to explain the reasoning behind.

Players have really also been enjoying the new overworld dungeon and the dozens
of new item modifiers available on armor and weapons. Overall the reception to
the new changes has been extremely positive – looking at the data, people are
playing the game more, and they are sticking around longer than prior to the
patch rollout. We added a ton of really cool new features, including dozens of
new quests, and an improved tutorial flow for newbies that will make it easier
for people to learn the game’s mechanics as well as provide a more satisfying,
and less grindy experience to get to level 40. Yesterday, we rolled out a new
patch that addressed many of the bugs and issues we had been meaning to fix
since launch day.

This video editor looks and works like an early version of any top video editor,
if you miss windows movie maker, Shotcut is that limited and basic software that
for some reason you're looking for. If what you're looking for is a video editor
that leaves you to work on any PC, this is the right one, because just as you
can work on a low-specs Windows, you can work on a Mac of previous generations.
What I like about Shotcut is that it is free and very light, few video editors
bet on a multiplatform network that permits us to continue our project on any
operating system, and this is the most looking thing about this software.
Sometimes we don't need to invest much money to captivate our clients. It lacks
a variety of scene transitions that more expensive programs have but it does
have the basics.Ĭomments: Sometime I got to produce a visual series for an LP
using this video editor, I was able to produce something visually appealing, but
on occasions, I was limited by the features and tools of this software, Shotcut
saved me when my PC couldn't handle powerful video editors and allowed me to
design something that my clients ended up loving. Also it's slow while it
publishes your final work but if you're patient it's well worth the wait to save
money. It takes a little while to figure out how everything works. All in all,
Shotcut has been a great choice for me. mp4 which makes editing much easier and
I'm unable to discern any loss of video quality.

I've done numerous music videos and little comedy skits that I've uploaded to
YouTube and they come out great. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles as
expensive programs but it does plenty enough to do most basic projects. All in
all I'm very pleased with Shotcut, I highly recommend it. This will definitely
teach you the basics for free before you decide to lay out your cash. If you can
master Shotcut, you'll be in perfect shape to advance to a more expensive
program later on. This program is perfect for those on a budget or for a
beginner. Since the amount of scene transitions is limited I find myself
concentrating more on the quality of the scenes themselves instead of the
transitions, which is a good thing. The software is really good and lightweight

Shotcut. It's a must for who is starting out and feels like the popular software
is either too expensive or too overwhelming.Īs you could probably expect Shotcut
doesn't have some of the features of the higher end video editing software such
as powerful color correction. Similar software requires an additional encoder
when with Shotcut it's a simple 3-5 step process. I think that my favorite thing
about Shotcut is how easy it is to create proxies for heavy videos. You have all
the necessary information and buttons to work with and if and only if you want
to go deeper you'll have to face the more complex functions of the software.
Shotcut was what allowed me to start with its simple and minimalistic interface.
Usually when you open video editing software you're met with so many buttons and
so much information that it gets scary to even try. Before using more
sophisticated software for video editing it was what helped me get familiar with
a lot of concepts that were completely alien to me and it taught me how to use
channels and separate audio from the video files and other useful things that
looked too complicated to do in similar software. Shotcut is a very simple and
easy to use video editor. If the fact that Shoctut is open source (free) isn't
enough for you to use it allow me to go deeper. Comments: A true delight if I
have to be honest.
