Just when it seemed like Suarez’s tear might be winding down. It’s his second
three-homer game, with the other having come for Cincinnati against
Pittsburgh in 2020. He’s raised his season OPS from .591 to .721 while
hitting .326/.394/.744 with 10 homers and 27 RBI this month. He totaled six
homers and 32 RBI in 80 games previously.

MIA Starting Pitcher #27
5hEdward Cabrera will undergo additional testing after tweaking his knee
during Tuesday’s start against the Rays.
Marlins manager Skip Schumaker told reporters afterwards that Cabrera
suffered the injury while covering first base and will undergo some
additional testing, including an MRI on Wednesday. There should be an update
on his status at some point later this week. It wouldn’t be surprising if he
wound up missing at least his next start for precautionary reasons.

Carter has been on the shelf since late May recovering from a stress reaction
in his back and remains completely shut down from baseball activities. It’s

Triple-A Norfolk, batting .271/.431/.477 with 10 homers and eight steals in
346 plate appearances. Given his immense talent, he’s worthy of a speculative
roster spot in all fantasy formats, but he might experience some initial
turbulence upon arrival as he acclimates to everyday life in the big leagues
at such a young age.

season in Los Angeles before hitting free agency this offseason. The
28-year-old had a career resurgence in Detroit and would’ve garnered top five
consideration in the American League Cy Young Award race if he wasn’t
switching leagues. The Dodgers were one of the few destinations where
Flaherty’s fantasy value might actually increase given another advantageous
home ballpark and likely more run support.

Miller landed on the injured list last week with a fractured finger on his
non-throwing hand, so it’s a positive development that the electrifying

There isn’t an official timetable for his return yet, but it seems like he
should be ready to reclaim the closing role in Oakland in a couple weeks, if
not sooner.
