ABOUT DESCI BANGKOK

DeSci Bangkok brings together innovators, scientists, investors, and
technologists at the frontier of decentralized science (DeSci) and emerging
technologies.
As we experience rapid technological acceleration, this event will explore how
blockchain and Web3 can drive research, funding, and infrastructure for
transformative scientific advancements.
With a focus on patient portals, clinical trials, data sharing, and pioneering
tech applications, DeSci Bangkok aims to identify the most promising pathways
for innovation. Presentations by technologists and scientists will feature
breakthrough projects in AI, neurotech, and biotech, with prizes for the most
impactful ideas. Join us to make sci-fi real.


THEMES AND FOCUS AREAS

Bio-Accelerationism (Bio-Acc)

Exploring the concept of decentralized accelerationism in the biosciences. How
can decentralized technologies and DAOs accelerate the development of life
sciences, from drug discovery to patient-driven research initiatives?



Defensive Accelerationism (De/Acc)

How can we leverage decentralized networks to accelerate scientific progress?
What are the challenges and opportunities in implementing DeAcc in the life
sciences and beyond?



Neurotech on the Rise

Neurotechnology is rapidly evolving, with applications in mental health,
cognitive enhancement, and brain-machine interfaces. What role can DeSci play in
fostering the development of this transformative technology? How can
decentralized models support neurotech innovation?



Life Science and Open Source DSI

How decentralized architectures can support effective and equitable sharing of
DNA and RNA data for drug discovery, public health, biodiversity conservation,
and research and innovation.



Network State/ Network Societies/ Network Cities:

what those are, what has been happening in the space and what are opportunities
for DeSci within them?



Building for Science DAOs

A deep dive into the structure and function of BioDAOs & NeuroDAOs. How can
platforms like Molecule and Bio.xyz ensure a steady flow of innovative projects
that can revolutionize science and healthcare?



Retroactive reward mechanisms

Highlighting impactful projects in the community, and facilitating the creation
of shared pools of funding



Real world issues and underevaluated fields that DeSci can support

Women Health, Climate Crisis and health related topics. 




DESCI GRANT

Become one of the 5 researchers and innovators with projects pushing the
boundaries of science to present their work and explore how Decentralized
Science (DeSci) can help overcome challenges in their scientific project.

Winners will receive prizes ranging from $2,000 to $5,000.
