WELCOME TO THE EUROPEAN NEUROENDOCRINE TUMOR SOCIETY E.V. (ENETS)

The European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (ENETS) was founded in 2004 and
currently has more than 1,500 members. ENETS members come from a variety of
different medical fields, including oncology, endocrinology, gastroenterology,
nuclear medicine, pathology, radiology, surgery, and basic/translational
science.

ENETS is committed to raising awareness and enriching research, education,
scientific collaboration in the field of NETS.

ENETS offers numerous comprehensive and accredited educational programmes on NET
disease, diagnosis, and treatment, in the form of conferences, webinars, and
e-learning. The programmes are designed for health-care professionals by leading
experts in the field.

ENETS is the first and oldest leading NET society. Our community is active,
multidisciplinary, enthusiastic, diverse, and international – extending beyond
the borders of Europe!

NENS POLICY RECOMMENDATIONS

During its annual ENETS conference in 2024, ENETS held a premiere round-table
discussion to discuss barriers to accessing high-quality care in NENs throughout
Europe. The round-table discussion presented the physicians', patients' and
politicians' perspective, and coincides with the ENETS endorsed publication from
2023.

ENETS thanks all those who worked on this paper and took part in the round-table
discussion. We are delighted to have been able to extend our support.

SURVIVAPP STUDY PUBLICATION

NEWS: ENETS is proud to announce that the ENETS-endorsed study SurvivApp
entitled “hemicolectomy versus appendectomy for patients with appendiceal
neuroendocrine tumours 1–2 cm in size: a retrospective, Europe-wide, pooled
cohort study” has recently been published in Lancet Oncology.

ENETS congratulates and thanks all those who have been working on this study and
is delighted to have been able to extend its support.

NEWS: ENETS is proud to announce its SEVEN new guidance papers on:

- nonfunctioning pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours published on 5 October 2023

- appendiceal neuroendocrine tumours published on 16 August 2023

- functioning pancreatic NET syndromes published on 20 June 2023

- colorectal neuroendocrine tumours published on 2 June 2023

- gastroduodenal NET G1-G3 published on 20 May 2023

- digestive neuroendocrine carcinoma published on 1 March 2023

- carcinoid syndrome and carcinoid heart disease published on 25 April 2022.

All ENETS guidance papers have been published in the Journal of
Neuroendocrinology.

This paper aims to provide practical guidance for not only for NEN specialists
in the diagnosis and management of CS, with special emphasis on CHD, was
published on 25 April 2022.
