WELCOME
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) is an excellent place to
work with competitive pay, excellent benefits and many opportunities for
professional and personal growth. Join our team in a position that helps sustain
critical services to the city of Los Angeles.
We have almost 150 different civil service jobs open to anyone that meets the
minimum qualifications for the job including opportunities in engineering,
skilled craft, information technology, and fleet services. LADWP also offers a
very limited number of jobs that are exempt from civil service. These jobs are
often executive managers or jobs that require highly specialized skills.
HOW DO I JOIN?
Qualified applicants for civil service positions will be invited to take a
job-specific exam that may be online, in-person or a combination of both. Once
an applicant completes and passes the exam, they will be notified of their final
score and will be ranked on an eligible list with other applicants. As positions
become available, LADWP will contact individuals on the list for interviews.
