Craig Rapp has over 30 years of experience as a chief executive and consultant.
Individually and with his team, Rapp Consulting Group, he has designed and
implemented organizational strategy, supported and developed high performing
teams, and led organizational improvement initiatives that have achieved
sustained results.


STRATEGIC PLANNING

From one-night goal-setting sessions to year-long community visioning efforts,
Rapp Consulting Group tailors the strategic planning process to the needs of the
organization and the community. They work with organizational and community
leaders, helping them articulate their challenges, develop strategic priorities,
and define actionable follow-through. Using a process that clarifies desired
outcomes, performance indicators and success measures–the organization’s
strategic “guidance system” is established. This is followed by a facilitated
process with management to develop detailed initiatives and action plans, to
ensure accountability.

 


OPTIMIZING ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE 

Optimizing the performance of organizations in the public and nonprofit sectors
falls into two distinct areas of activity:

Organizational Assessments – Our consultants have decades of experience leading,
managing and assessing the performance of organizations. Using time-tested and
cutting-edge practices, we deliver clear analyses and actionable solutions.

Team Building – Great teams don’t just happen; they take hard work and require
sustained attention. This is especially true for the leadership teams in local
government — where politics, community unrest and unfulfilled expectations can
lead to strained relations and decision-making gridlock. Craig has helped dozens
of local government leadership teams go from dysfunctional to functional.

Alternative Service Delivery – Many organizations have tried to cut costs or
improve performance by pursuing consolidation, outsourcing or privatization
strategies. These approaches are effective but difficult to implement — from
both political and organizational perspectives.
