Our vision is of a country with digital foundations to support everyone’s
participation in democratic life.

Democracy Club makes it easier to find information about local government and
elections in the UK. From knowing where to vote, to finding out what is
happening in your council. So everyone who wants to take part in public life can
find the information they need.

About us

We believe that improving the accessibility of information about local
government is core to achieving our vision.

For elections we do this by creating lists of all elections taking place, a
profile for every candidate and running the UK's polling station finder.

We also work year-round to build tools and services that bring information about
councillors and councils into one place.

Everything we do is open with data and APIs.

Our projects

Our digital tools and data have reached millions of UK voters since 2015.

In our short history, Democracy Club has reached millions of voters with
high-quality, accurate election information. We’ve also made great strides
towards bringing the UK’s democratic infrastructure into the digital age through
our work with local and central government.

Democracy Club is a non-partisan and non-profit Community Interest Company.

Our work is supported by a mix of donations, grants and sales revenue.

Support our work

We are a small team of software developers, data specialists, geospatial
engineers and election experts.

The core team is supported by non-partisan volunteers who are either interested
in democracy, open source technology, or both.

During elections, a group of 20 super-volunteers and a community of 300
supporters come together to crowdsource publicly available information like
candidate manifestos.
