What happens after I register my claim?


Your claim will be reviewed and validated; in some situations we may we may need
to contact you to ask for further information and will do this by telephone, so
please keep your phone handy. If we cannot reach you by telephone we will email
you. We will share your phone number and details of your case to our
tradesperson so that they can contact you and progress the claim.

How will I know my claim has been accepted and what happens if it is not
accepted?


You will receive a text message with a claim reference number within one hour of
registering your claim online. Your claim will be deployed to the relevant
tradesperson to assist you who will contact you to arrange a suitable
appointment time.

If, when we review your claim, your policy does not cover the type of home
emergency you are experiencing or we require additional information to progress
your claim, we will contact you via SMS or telephone.

If the home emergency still needs attention, we recommend identifying a suitable
tradesperson to visit your home to resolve the issue.

Where can I find my stopcock or stop tap to switch it off when I have an
uncontained leak?


The main stopcock is usually found under your kitchen sink.

Some properties only have the main stop tap, generally located on the boundary
of the home. It's advisable to have a set of plumber's grips, or similar, to
gain access to the main stop tap.

If I need to contact you, or if the situation changes or worsens, what do I do?


Please contact the call centre using the telephone number on your policy
details.

What should I do if I have a gas leak?


If you smell gas, contact your Gas Supplier; the phone number can be found on
your meter.

 * Do not smoke or light matches
 * Do not turn electrical switches on or off
 * Open doors and windows
 * Turn off the meter at the control handle unless the meter is in the cellar
