INTRODUCTION TO ANALYTICS AND DATA SCIENCE

This course provides participants with introduction to analytics and data
science. Concepts such as statistics, analytical tools, data massaging,
visualization, data modelling and machine learning will be explored and
explained to understand how various components work together to deliver values
in the banking and financial industry. In this course, we will also explore use
cases of how data is collected, type of data insights generated to address
financial industry business problems and how to apply analytics in day to day.
Course participants will also gain exposure to different analytical tool and
languages available, to appreciate the potential of these capabilities as well
as to provide foundation to communicate in analytical context.

DERIVATIVES FOR FIXED INCOME INVESTOR

This course is designed to provide participants with a sound understanding of
the different form of derivative instruments available to a fixed income
investor. The course will approach the use of derivatives mainly from the
perspective of hedging requirements. Participants will be provided with a
foundation to understand how these instruments are constructed, priced and
traded. There will also be discussion on the history and current developments in
the market for these instruments. The instruments covered are namely interest
rate swap, cross currency swaps and credit default swaps.
