CURRENT SEASON

The Shrewsbury Chorale generally performs three concerts each season as well as
numerous community outreach concerts and “sings”.  Previous performances may be
found in our archive.  Scroll down to purchase tickets.


SIXTY-SEVENTH CONCERT SEASON 2023-2024

 * December Concert
   7:00 PM, Saturday, December 2, 2023
   First Presbyterian Church of Freehold, 118 West Main Street
   “In excelsis Deo: Songs of Heaven and Earth”
   Michael John Trotta’s Gloria, George Malcolm’s Mass for the Crib, and works
   by Rosephane Powell, Daniel Gawthorp and others

 * March Concert
   7:00 PM, Saturday, March 16, 2024
   Unitarian Church, Lincroft
   “Basically Bach”
   Featuring the Motet “Jesu, Meine Freude” and works of other composers
   influenced by the great J.S. Bach

 * June Concert
   4:00 PM, Sunday, June 2, 2024
   Red Bank Methodist Church, Red Bank
   “Together We Dream”
   Spirituals and Inspirational Music

GENERAL INFORMATION

All concerts are General Admission.  Group rates are available.

Advance Individual Tickets: (Purchased at least two days in advance)

General Public $20
Senior/Student $17
Child (12 & under) $8

At the Door:

General Public $25
Senior/Student $ 20
Child (12 & under) $10

ADA Policy:  The Shrewsbury Chorale performs at a variety of performance venues.
We try to find venues that are ADA accessible.

Large Print Programs:  We provide large print programs upon request.  Please ask
at the reception table upon arrival.

Listening Devices:  Please allow us two weeks’ notice prior to a performance for
us to attempt to provide assisted listening devices to better enjoy the
performance.

SING WITH US!

A chance to “try us on for size!” Auditions are held throughout our season, from
Sept – June. If you are interested in more information or in auditioning please
contact Sam Talmage 732-508-0963

Open Rehearsals are held on Tuesdays at 7:30-9:30 pm

 * January 9, 16, 23, 2024
 * March 19, 26, and April 2, 2024

at the First Presbyterian Church (Tower Hill), in Red Bank, NJ. Interested
singers of all voice parts, age high school and older, are invited to
participate. If you like what you see and hear, please schedule an audition.
Scores are provided. Open Rehearsals are free.

ENSEMBLE GROUP FOR YOUR EVENT

Wouldn’t you love to have a small lively group of singers for your holiday
event? We can provide beautiful ensemble singing.

In past holiday seasons we have caroled at The Grove at Shrewsbury, Brook 35
Plaza in Sea Girt, Dearborn Market in Holmdel, Sickles Market in Little Silver
and Holiday Harmonies in Red Bank, Seabrook Village,Tinton Falls and also at
several other senior residences.
