 * 10:00pm - Auction Closes
 * 11:00pm - Event Concludes




Pair black tie optional evening attire with your tennis shoes in camaraderie
with our Athletes, for an unforgettable evening of dining, dancing, and
inspiration. 




All proceeds from this event will benefit over 22,000 individuals with
intellectual disabilities in Michigan, by funding year-round sports and
training, health and wellness programming, and anti-bullying education.

Valet & Self-Parking available in the Ford Field Parking Structure located at
1902 St. Antoine - all attendees should enter via Ford Field Gate G (ground
level)

- MASK RECOMMENDATION -

Ford Field recommends masks for all guests, including those who are fully
vaccinated, for all indoor locations as aligned with the City of Detroit Health
Department, except for when seated to eat or drink. 




- GUEST SCREENINGS -

Due to updated NFL regulations, all guests visiting Ford Field are required to
pass a mandated screening upon entering. This includes entering through a metal
detector.

Tune into the Virtual Ties and Tennies Fundraising Gala from your home or
preferred place of celebration. You will receive the link to our virtual
program, and access to our online auction! Your $25 donation provides the
opportunity for an athlete to attend a one-day competition.

EVENT PROGRAM:

This year's event will be available to attend both in-person and virtually, and
will be co-emceed by WDIV Local 4 Reporter Kim DeGiulio, and SOMI Athlete Liz
Viele. You may recognize Kim from reporting weeknights at 5 and 6, filling in on
'Live in the D', at the anchor desk on weekends, or from taking the Polar Plunge
for Special Olympics Michigan live on air in 2020.

Liz Viele joins us from Dimondale, where she participates in 8 sports year-round
and serves on the Special Olympics Michigan Board of Directors. Liz is no
stranger to the Ties and Tennies Gala, as she joined us in 2019 as your Keynote
Speaker, and again in 2020 as your Virtual Emcee!

The Special Olympics MI Legacy Award will be presented to the Knights of
Columbus, to honor the long-lasting impact they have made on the Special
Olympics movement.
