CASTAWAY LODGE "ON THE BAYOU"

Welcome to Castaway Lodge in the heart of Seadrift, Texas where you'll find a
rich heritage of local watermen and professional fishing and hunting guides.
Whether you're after that one-of-a-kind Seadrift fishing and hunting experience
or taking a quick Texas staycation, we'll get you right in the action! From
heart pounding fishing trips to hot and fast wingshooting for waterfowl and
dove, or the excitement of deer and hog hunting, we offer numerous full-day
combination trips; night time activities; and, the best Seadrift fishing lodge
backdrop for relaxing with friends and family; customer and employee
appreciation fishing trips; or, networking and team building with associates.

worked hard to bring one of the last special places to life".  We are owner
operators wearing a dozen hats and striving for a great experience for our
guests. We are local hunting and fishing guides, we are "Seadrifters"!   Come

SOUTHERN BREEZE!

A focal point at The Lodge is 500' of bayou frontage and two covered pavilions;
horseshoe pits; and a massive Flagstone fireplace on the bayou burm.  Over 3.5
acres of leg stretching manicured grounds with affordable comfort and
convenience including onsite games storage and processing.  


LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

We are located in "The Heart of Seadrift" and close to everything that's
important to our guests and we strike several different launch points depending
upon wind direction and velocity.  This allows us to keep the wind in your hair
without the pounding of running into the big chop.  Other focal points include
our large covered porches including a 2,500 square foot wraparound outdoor
kitchen and outdoor fireplace, bar & big screen TV, comfortable dining and
conversation areas; and the massive stone adorned wrap around porches on the
bayou quarters building. Porches have a Southern elevation to capture our
dominate Southerly winds during the summertime and are sheltered from North
winds in the Winter just like we planned it!  
















RELAX & GET COMFORTABLE!

We opened the lodge in 2007 and our guests have made us a huge success.  In the
Fall of 2015 we wanted to say thanks and we began acquiring adjacent properties
and expanding our footprint with many new improvements.  With the new adjacent
Bayou Property you will find 2 plus acres of manicured greenbelts and our kayak
staging area with miles of trail available for guest access.  If mixing business
with pleasure, it is the perfect backdrop for entertaining clients, meetings,
and team building. 

Dining/Conference Building - New for 2016 are new focal points including the
Dining/Conference Building with seating for 40 guests trimmed in knotty Alder
built-ins; soaring ceilings and taxidermy and the smells of Wendi's home
cooking.  

Bayou Facility - Now with plenty of leg stretching room, the New for 2016 Bayou
complex is another huge focal point with upgrade accommodations for up to 24
guests with massive wrap around porches; full size beds for couples; built-in
gun racks; in room refrigerators; free WIFI and work stations for mixing
business with pleasure; luxurious bathrooms trimmed in granite and hammered
copper; numerous gear storage built-ins; adjacent mud room and gear staging
area; and an ice machine.  The grounds are just amazing with 700' of water
frontage on Haley's Bayou and complete with two lighted pavilions and 4 sets of
horseshoe pits; and, a massive flagstone fireplace carved right into the side of
the bayou levee.


Quarters Building - is directly adjacent to the Dining/Conference building and
the outdoor kitchen and consists of private bedrooms and "in room" bathrooms and
a large Great Room. The Great Room offers relaxed conversation and is centrally
located with leather sofas, Free WIFI, LCD flat panel satellite TV, wet
bar/coffee station, refrigerator, and microwave. It is centrally located with
easy access to the Bayou Pavilions and grounds.

Outdoor Kitchen - There is a large outdoor kitchen which is a focal point around
dinner time and is a massive conversation area with wet bar and big screen TV;
outdoor fireplace; and, consisting of 2,500 sf of entertaining area.
