Americans need cell phone service and access to high-speed internet connections.
It’s no longer a luxury, it’s a necessity in lieu of the pandemic. To ensure
Americans receive affordable high-speed internet, President Joe Biden and Vice
President Kamala Harris collaborated with Democrats and Republicans to create
the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP).

The service offers a discount of up to $30 on monthly broadband internet service
to eligible households and $75 per month for residents on qualifying Tribal
lands. Eligible individuals who pair their ACP benefit with a provider, such as

unlimited cell phone service.




HOW CAN YOU QUALIFY FOR THE ACP?



You may be eligible for the Affordable Connectivity Program if you meet one of
two qualifications.

First, you may automatically qualify if you participate in government programs,
such as:

HOW TO SIGN UP FOR THE AFFORDABLE CONNECTIVITY PROGRAM?

Step 1: Sign Up with a Wireless Service Provider

 *  In general, you must choose the government benefit program you participate
   in, or whether you qualify based on income.

Step 2: Wait for Government approval

 * When you sign up with a wireless provider, you will be connected to the
   National Verifier, where your application will be automatically approved if
   you meet all the requirements.

What is the ACP?
The Affordable Connectivity Program is a federal government program that reduces
the customer’s broadband internet service bill. It is dependent on government

How do I Qualify for the Affordable Connectivity Program?
You can qualify if you participate in a government benefit program, such as
SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, etc., or if your income is at or below 200% of your state’s
federal poverty level.
Why Can’t I Transfer My ACP Benefit Immediately?
The new transfer rule, implemented on April 15, 2022, by the Federal
Communications Commission (FCC), states that ACP participants can transfer their
ACP benefit to another provider once per calendar month. So, if you receive the
ACP benefit from another provider, you must wait until the first of the
following month to transfer to another provider.
Which Internet Service Provider (ISP) Should I Choose?
Several ISPs participate in the Affordable Connectivity Program. Most require a
monthly fee, one fee comparable to the next. However, some wireless service
providers offer free unlimited data with no contracts, monthly bills, or hidden
fees. One such provider is Q Link Wireless. When you choose one of these
providers, you can make the most of your ACP benefit and eliminate your cell
phone bill while you experience high-speed coverage.
Will it be Easier to Get ACP if I Have Lifeline?
Yes, it will be easier for customers to enroll in the ACP if they already have
Lifeline. If you participate in Lifeline, you already meet all the government
qualifications. Simply accept the service provider's Terms and Conditions
agreement to receive the ACP benefit.
