Marc has invested, under strict ESG guidelines, in over 80 transactions amounting close to US$1 Bn in invested capital, including some early solar and wind financings and landmark infrastructure investments, that received international recognition. More recently, Marc led the execution of cross-border M&A and PPP transactions for global infrastructure investors in South America. Previously, he was Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director of CIFI, a leading mid-market infrastructure and energy investment platform. Earlier in his career, Marc worked in various economic development positions at the Inter-American Development Bank. He holds both a M.Sc. in Finance, Cum Laude, and a B.B.A. in Finance, Magna Cum Laude, from The George Washington University. MEET THE PARTNERS GEORGE OSORIO Managing Partner George has over 27 years of experience in private equity investment management in infrastructure and power investments in Latin America and the Caribbean. George was the Managing Partner, Co-founder, and Head of Investments at Conduit Capital Partners LLC. George joined Scudder (the predecessor to Conduit) in 1995 to be part of the team managing Latin Power I, the first-ever Latin American private equity fund. He was a pioneer investing in the region which included many firsts in Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Mexico, Jamaica, Panama, and Chile. George was directly responsible for leading investments in each of these markets; he also reviewed all potential transactions as head of investments. George joined the team from Lehman Brothers Emerging Markets Group. Before Lehman, he served for four years at the Chase Manhattan Bank, where he was part of the International Trade Finance group. George holds a B.A. in Economics Psychology from Cornell University and an M.B.A. Finance from Columbia Business School. MEET THE PARTNERS CLAUDIA ARANGO Managing Partner Claudia has over 20 years of private equity experience in Latin America. Claudia has led or participated in over 30 equity investments across a diverse number of sectors including telecom, logistics, transportation, retail, agribusiness, media, and industrial services. During her career in private equity, she has provided board leadership to several organizations, where she successfully guided companies to grow both domestically and internationally with strong margins, through her strategic leadership, M&A expertise, and hands-on approach. Claudia is the former Managing Director and founding member of the Latin American Private Equity Fund at The Rohatyn Group (“TRG”). Before joining TRG, she was a Director with the AIG Global Emerging Markets Private Equity Group with a focus in Latin America. Claudia received an M.Sc. in Finance from the University of Maryland and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. MEET THE PARTNERS MARC FRISHMAN Managing Partner Marc is a Co-Founder of XIC with over 20 years of experience, leading pioneering private equity power, energy, and infrastructure projects around the world with a focus in Latin America. Marc has led numerous pioneering investments in the region including the first private utility scale hydroelectric projects in Mexico, one of the first utility scale P.V. solar projects in South America, a pan LatAm regional power and infrastructure company, and a state-of-the-art broadband fiber optic cable company in Mexico, among others. Prior to joining Exagon, Marc was a Managing Director at Barings where he created and led the Global Power and Energy Infrastructure direct equity investment business. Before Barings, Marc was a Managing Partner at Conduit Capital Partners, where starting in 1998, he was responsible for investing private equity in power and energy infrastructure projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. Marc has a B.A. from Tulane University and an M.B.A. from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
