IWS products are compliant with the new guidance launched by the Structural
Timber Association (STA) which was designed to help clients, designers and CDM
coordinators


CATEGORY A, B AND C



The guidance focuses principally on separating distances between a receiver
(existing building) and emitter (new timber frame building) and has established
how wide these distances need to be to mitigate the fire risk through newly
defined practices


ON SITE PHASE



One of the principle benefits of timber frame construction is it’s speed of
erection and ability to significantly reduce manual handling of materials on
site and working at height, therefore limiting the risk of injury to site staff.

We have developed a system (IWS-FAST) that helps protect the timber frame during
the construction stage. Once the building is complete, the system will sit
dormant for the life of the building and will still react in the case of a
future fire
