One billion escrowed XRP has been locked since January 2017, waiting for the court decision on the legitimacy of the XRP launch back in 2012. As the intermediary court decision from 9 November 2021, the escrowed XRP is to be released from escrow and ordered to be distributed amongst existing clients, as the ownership cannot be maintained by Ripple any longer. So, this is good news for XRP holders with aged accounts and positive balances with more than 1000 XRP. “The remainder of 500,000,000 XRP is to be distributed to the open community as instructed in the aforementioned order”. For a higher APR, we recommend you select the 6 months or 1-year plan. Any plan with a higher APR than the 1-month plan can be instantly downgraded, but the reward will be estimated for the lower plan and not the initial one.
